Security Manager Job Vacancy in Thika (KShs 70,000)

Based in Thika with Extensive Travel
Our client, a major producer and exporter of raw, processed and value added agricultural produce is looking to hire a Security Manager reporting to the Managing Director.
The Security Manager will be responsible for the management and delivery of round-the-clock physical security and safety needs of the company.
The Primary Duties of this role will include:
• Manage all aspects of physical security. Design, plan; propose, implement, manage, monitor and improve all elements of security including physical guarding, access control, surveillance systems, etc.
• Formulate and continuously review policies, processes and procedures pertaining to Security,
• Undertake periodic security sweeps, penetration tests, intruder detection and alarm response tests.

• Investigate, follow-up and resolve security issues/cases affecting company property/equipment, staff or documents.
• Assist company staff, through liaison with law enforcement agencies, on resolution of matters that require such intervention.
• Liaise with law enforcement agencies and sensitize company staff on general insecurity trends, personal/residential security awareness.
• Coordinate the conduct of bi-annual security awareness briefs to all company staff with contracted security services providers
• Develop budgets and forecasts for all security related services for all facilities and manage the assigned security budget and all security related projects
Required Qualities – The ideal candidate will:
• At least 8 years’ experience in security management in a busy organisation with multiple facilities and offices.
• Knowledge of Kenyan laws and government regulations pertaining to law enforcement.
• Good leadership and supervisory skills, highly organised, paying close attention to detail.
• Demonstrate the ability to work independently, under pressure, and ensure timely coordination and delivery of demanding priorities.
• Demonstrate the ability to liaise and deal sensitively with people at all levels of an organisation in a variety of contexts.
• Have well-developed communication (written/verbal), presentation, interpersonal and facilitation skills
• Have a track record of consistent achievement of performance targets.
• Diploma in Security Management/Administration or any technical/business discipline would be an added advantage
The ideal candidate aged 45 years, highly results oriented, adaptable and flexible, with the ability to drive change and transformation.
The salary for this position is KShs 70,000 gross, plus benefits.
