Technical Director

Reports To: Managing Director

Job Overview 

This position is responsible for planning, executing and supervising projects in accordance to strict deadlines and within budget.

Accountabilities

Required: 
  • Direct and manage project development from beginning to end
  • Provide Technical leadership in all project scope areas
  • Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals
  • Draft and submit budget proposals and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary
  • Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path
  • Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools
  • Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises and devise contingency plans
  • Define project success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout project life cycle
  • Conduct project past mortems and prepare recommendations in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements
  • Manage project team, risk, schedule and materials
Education and Working Experience Requirements
  • A university Degree in Engineering
  • A diploma /post graduate qualification in Project Management will be an added advantage
  • Have a valid driving license
  • Relevant experience 3-5 years in Project Management at Senior level
  • Good working knowledge of Ms office
