P.C.E.A Eastleigh Community Centre (ECC) Director Job Vacancy in Nairobi Kenya

P.C.E.A Eastleigh community centre (ECC) is a faith based organization whose strategic themes, mandate, vision and mission are driven by the concern to improve the living standards of people living in informal settlement, refugees and orphaned and vulnerable children in Nairobi and its environs with the intention of restoring their lost hope.

The 
director is responsible for the overall management and leadership of the centre on a day to day basis. The director supervises the staff and programme/projects development as well as providing the strategic direction to the organization.

Specifically, we are seeking a suitable candidate to fill the following position which will be situated in Nairobi:

Job Profile
  • Provide overall strategic, programmatic, financial, management, and leadership support for the entire organization.
  • Develop long term and short term strategies for effective implementation of the strategies stipulated in the Strategic Plan
  • Working closely with and managing a core staff of technical and administrative program professionals, s/he will ensure that project objectives, outcomes, and deliverables are met and that financial, operational, and reporting requirements of the donor are adhered to.
  • Develop performance standards to ensure compliance with ECC Policies, Vision and Mission
  • The director will be the primary liaison with the client as well as with other donors, partners, and stakeholders, including the Government.
  • Develop networks and partnerships with Development Partners and stakeholders
  • Spearhead project’s development and fundraising
  • Ensure compliance with Government Policies and Regulatory Guidelines and Directives.
Qualifications, Capabilities/Skills and Experience:
  • Advanced degree in Development, Management or related social science discipline with 3 year experience managing a development organization or a Bachelor’s degree in social science or any other relevant field with 8 years experience in managing a development organization.
  • Proven Experience in fundraising, programme/project development, Monitoring and evaluation, strategic Leadership and reporting skills
  • Experience in coordination and collaboration of stakeholders including donor and government agencies.
  • Excellent analytical, oral and written communication skills
  • Negotiating and networking skills
  • Must be a committed Christian preferably a Presbyterian.
