Marketing Manager Job Opportunity in Kenya

Job Summary: Reporting to the General Manager; the Marketing Manager will plan, direct and coordinate the marketing of the organization’s products by performing the following duties. Will be directly responsible for the overall direction coordination and evaluation of the marketing unit.
Key Responsibilities
·         To provide leadership and coaching as well as people development to staff in the marketing department.
·         Achieve satisfactory profit /loss ratio and share of the market performance in relation to pre-set standards and to general and specific trends within the industry and the economy.

·         Recommend changes in basic structure and organization of marketing group to ensure the effective fulfillment of objectives assigned to it; develop and manage the company’s marketing strategy and business plan in line with Kenya vision to achieve its objectives.
·         Implement strategic plans for commercial sales and marketing by monitoring and ensuring achievement of business plan objectives, identifying market trends and new business opportunities, managing the brand and business analysis and in planning.
·         Develop and execute marketing plans and programmes, both short and long range, to ensure the profit growth and expansion of the company products and services.
·         Research, analyze and monitor financial, technological and demographic factors so that market opportunities are capitalized on and the effects of competitive activity minimized.
·         Plan and oversee the organization advertising and promotion activities including print and electronic.
·         Prepares marketing activity reports for the General Manager.
·         Manage business growth and Market share as per the approved annual marketing plans.
·         Adopt the company to the changing business environment, establish a change capable and pioneering inter culture.
·         Set performance measurement methods for marketing to review progress.
·         Assists the General Manager in the day to day running of the business.
·         Any other assignment as may be directed by the General Manager.
Qualification and experience
·         Degree in Commerce (or similar), majoring in marketing; An MBA will be an added advantage.
·         Over 5 years experience in sales in an energy (oil or gas) sector.
·         Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
·         Demonstrate ability to interact and cooperate with all company employees.
·         Build trust, value others, communicate effectively, drive execution, foster innovation, focus on the customer, collaborate with others, solve problems creatively and demonstrate high integrity.
·         Maintain professional internal and external relationships that meet company core values.
·         Proactively establish and maintain effective working team relationships with all support departments.
