The Diocese wishes to recruit highly motivated and competent individuals to fill the following positions;

1. Hospital Administrator

The main objective of Mercy Mission Hospital is to continue the healing Ministry of Christ through provision of comprehensive and affordable health care services.

Job Description:

Reporting to the Diocesan Health Coordinator, the person will provide leadership to the Hospital team to develop and implement appropriate interventions to realize the Hospitals’ goals in line with the Vision & Mission of the Catholic Diocese of Nakuru.

Duties include and not limited to the following; 
  • To be the overall in-charge of the Hospital
  • To be responsible for credit management – Debit and credit control.
  • To approve all financial transactions of the hospital.
  • To ensure timely preparation of the hospital budget.
  • To take lead in initiating new developments in the Hospital.
  • To consult with relevant authorities on the legal affairs of the hospital.
  • To maintain and control hospital property and equipments.
Requirements:
  • Must have at least a University degree preferably in Business Management with a bias in Finance Management or any other related discipline with 2 years experience in a Mission Hospital
or
  • At least a Diploma in Hospital Management with a minimum of 3 years experience in a Mission Hospital.
  • Must be a practicing Catholic
  • Ability to make sound and timely judgments
  • Strong intellectual, analytical and decision making abilities
  • Must have a valid driving license
  • Must be computer literate, conversant with operations software’s
  • Should have good reporting writing and communication skills
  • Should be 45 years and below
2. Matron

Job Description:

Reporting to the Hospital Administrator, the officer shall be in-charge of Nursing care in the Hospital.

Other duties & responsibilities shall include and not limited to the following;
  • To ensure that professional ethics are practiced by all staff.
  • To be responsible for economical and efficient use of all Hospital supplies.
  • To maintain infection prevention practices.
  • To ensure that all professional staffs are registered and or retained in their relevant register or licensing body.
  • To ensure that the general cleanliness of the Hospital is maintained.
  • To be responsible for Quality Improvement process.
Requirements:
  • Must be a registered Nurse licensed by Nursing Council of Kenya
  • Other managerial courses acquired shall be an added advantage
  • Minimum of three years experience in Managerial position in a Hospital set-up
  • Must be a practicing Catholic
  • Ability to make sound and timely judgments
  • Strong intellectual, analytical and decision making abilities
  • Must be computer literate, conversant with operations software’s
  • Should have good reporting writing and communication skills
  • Should be 30 years and above
