CEO / Fundraiser Job in Kenya

We are an NGO that caters fo Aged and Destitute women. We are looking for someone to fill the position of CEO/Fund Raiser.

The main role of the CEO/Fund Raiser is to direct, promote, and coordinate the operations of the organization in a manner that will increase funds for the NGO improve the efficiency, and help the Organization to achieve its goals.

  • Ensure decisions taken by the top management are implemented within the organization.
  • Ensures that the NGO is functioning according to the plan which was determined by stakeholders
  • Ensure that appropriate and integrated information is made available for smooth working

  • Maintain good relations with donors to ensure.
  • Develop innovative business strategies and solutions towards enhancing the organizations services
Operations and Administration
  • Review funds on a regular basis.
  • Develop and strategize yearly budgets and timely implementation.
  • Ensure that there is sufficient inventory maintained all the time in the in order to avoid any delays in processing an order.
  • Ensure that a cumulative operations report and other activity reports are sent to management on daily/Weekly/ monthly basis
  • Identify the overheads and other cash requirements to achieve that sales target.
  • Develop and implement departmental and operational policies and procedures.
  • Perform auditing of the organizations efficiency on monthly basis.
  • Review the performance of personnel and conduct appraisal on a yearly basis.
  • Plan for the future financing needs in areas where it is required and seek approval from donors and involved parties.
  • Proven skills in business, marketing and financial management.
  • Excellent, proven interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and supervise a staff team.
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven ability to cope with conflict, stress and crisis situations.
  • Effective problem-solving and mediation skills.
  • Excellent analytical, planning, management and reporting skills.
  • Knowledge of revenue management and marketing strategies.
  • Financial management skills e.g., ability to analyze P&L statements, develop operating budgets, forecasting and capital expenditure planning.
  • Ability to effectively evaluate current business trends, practices and procedures and make recommendations for changes.
  • Ability to creatively execute against the strategy and drive results; can originate and invent new ways to maximize revenue.
  • Effective decision-making skills; can choose a course of action amongst options involving uncertainty or risk.
  • Effective change management skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage productivity and staff strategically.
  • Strong leadership and team building skills.
  • Must be autonomous, hands-on, and proactive.
  • Must possess unquestionable ethical standards.
  • Proficiency with office computer equipment and software
  • He must be able to work on commission basis well designed between the interested parties well in advance.
  • Most importantly he must be able to solicit funds from donors
  • Must be a person of very high integrity ready to work with a firm whose faith is based on well-being of the human race and more so the disadvantaged old women.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in any business field preferably Marketing, Project Management.
  • Must have managerial experience in an NGO sector and particularly fund raising through Donors government and other entities.
