Position Requirements
- Thorough understanding of the complete process of bringing a new product to the market, including idea screening, Concept development and testing, Business Analysis, Market testing, product launch, and new product pricing.
- Demonstrable application of the Stage-Gate model to meet goals and timelines
- Project planning support and execution
- Planning and mobilising resources to fulfil the plans
- Identification of bottlenecks, risks and issues and application of strategies to resolve them
- Provision of regular progress reports on NPD/EPD Projects to the Project Board composed of the Senior leadership team
- Administrative duties relating to NPD/EPD to ensure all documentation is maintained and current
Person Requirements
- Holder of a good University degree from a reputable institution
- Experience at working both independently and with cross-functional teams within a collaborative environment will be an added advantage
- Prompt and efficient response to project adjustments and alterations is essential
- Ability to lead project teams to successful project completion through strategic influencing is a plus
- Ability to defuse tension among the project team (should it arise) is necessary
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required to succeed in this role and a persuasive, encouraging and motivating attitude will be beneficial
- Willingness to adapt to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities is expected
