Ndima Tea Factory Co. Ltd is seeking to recruit suitably qualified, dynamic and self motivated persons to fill the following vacant positions.
Plant Technician
Reporting to the Factory Unit Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for: -
- Maintenance of factory machinery and fleet of vehicles;
- Preparing timely and accurate maintenance schedules and reports;
- Installation and commissioning of new machinery and equipment;
- Advising management on sourcing as well as controlling usage of spares for both factory machinery and fleet of vehicles;
- Carrying out comparative estimate and actual cost of company repairs and maintenance;
- Ensuring safe custody of spares, tools and equipment assigned;
- Allocation of duties and supervision of the company maintenance team of mechanics and electricians;
- Initiating purchases of all spare parts required for repairs;
- Observing and complying with environmental, health and safety measures and regulations.
The ideal candidate should have the following qualifications, skills & experience:-
- ‘O’ level division II or KCSE C plain;
- Higher National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (Plant Option) from a recognized institution;
- At least five (5) years working experience in a busy reputable manufacturing establishment;
- Computer literate.
Factory Supervisor
Reporting to the Production Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for; -
- Ensuring that production of tea is carried out within the set quality standards;
- Maintaining accurate production records;
- Ensuring achievement of the set production targets;
- Supervision of staff in the assigned production lines;
- Ensuring maintenance of hygiene standards in the production floor;
- Monitoring the production against the set targets;
- Liaising with the factory management on production floor issues.
The ideal candidate should have the following qualifications, skills & experience:-
- ‘O’ level division II or KCSE C plain;
- Diploma in Food Science and Technology from a recognized institution;
- At least three (3) years working experience in a food processing establishment;
- Computer literate.
Artisan – Lathe Operator
Reporting to the Plant Technician, the successful candidate will be responsible for: -
- Fabricating machine and equipment components as per requirements;
- Carrying out maintenance and repairs of other company facilities;
- Sharpening rollers to the set standards;
- Testing machine tools after fabrication;
- Participating in welding of the components as and when required;
- Attending to breakdown of equipment;
- Ensuring timely change over, shut down and start up of production equipment.
The ideal candidate should have the following qualifications, skills & experience:-
- ‘O’ level division II or KCSE C plain;
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (Plant Option) from a recognized institution;
- At least five (3) years relevance working experience;
- Computer literate.
