Migori School of Guidance and Counselling is an interdenominational/ interreligious Institution of higher learning, situated in Migori town and was envisioned, proposed and facilitated by Rev. Dr. Madara Dtondo.
The campus maintains an Ecumenical Religious Christian atmosphere.
Migori School of Guidance and Counseling is a Diploma Teaching Institution and is seeking to recruit self driven, dynamic and competent staff for the following positions.
1. Course Director
Position Summary
Reporting to the Management Board, the Course Director will be reponsible for providing instructional, operational, and administrative leadership at institution and has lead responsibility for student achievement and lecturer support with a dominant focus on instructional leadership and will be accountable for the continous improvement of the institution and its staff, and increased student achievement.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership, direction and support to the implementation, evaluation and refinement of the Institution’s instructional, programmatic and operational plans
  • Supervise and evaluate Lecturers and staff to ensure quality instruction, student achievement.
  • Prepare required reports and ensure the maintenance of complete and accurate records for the institution; oversee compliance in examining, school database, etc.
  • Develop and maintain procedures that provide for the safety and security of staff and students
  • Recruit, select and hire outstanding institution’s staff (Lecturers – support staff)
  • Prepare an annual budget forecast, manage approved institution’s budget and account for budget variances.
  • Ensure revenue, enrollment and expense targets are met (profit and loss)
  • Oversee compliance to state, local and contractual requirements.
Minimum Requirements
  • Master’s degree in an appropriate Education – related discipline; Masters in Guidance and Counseling will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum 5 years Lecturing experience and at least two years as an instructional leader iii. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook
  • Strong academic leadership skills and deep commitment to improving the quality of education
  • Deep knowledge of instructional and planning methodologies rooted in analysis of data.
  • Aged above 35 years.
2. Finance Officer
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Ensure all government and accounting procedures are adhered to.
  • Supervise all revenue collection, income recording and monitor banking according to Government procedures.
  • Maintenance of all Accounts books and fixed assets records and preparing of monthly, quarterly and annual management accounts and financial accounts for the Institution
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelors’s Degree in Commerce Accounts or Business Administration Accounts.
  • Pass in Part II of the Certified Public Accountants (CPA) Examination.
  • Proficiency in Computer Applications and Accounting softwares (Payroll).
  • At least One year experience in a similar position.
