Training Manager Job Vacancy

A client of ours in the Hospitality industry has a vacancy of Training Manager.
As a training and development manager you’ll be organizing and managing the various training programmes    within hotel.  Making sure staff gain and develop the skills they need to carry out their jobs effectively. This    involves designing and coordinating training to cover both the hotel’s current and future needs.
  • O Level aggregate B- with “B” in English
  • Diploma in Business studies, human resources or communications.. From any recognised training institution
  • At least 5-10 years preferably in same/ similar position in hospitality industry or service driven industry.

  • Masters/Bachelor Degree in business studies/Education/Human Resource Management/ Psychology/Hotel Management/Tourism.
  • BA degree and /or at least 2 to 5 years of work experience that can be demonstrated to be applicable to the duties listed in the job description.
  • Experience in the hospitality industry is preferred.

  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships with all levels of staff and public.
  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse operation.

  • The ability to write reports, keep records, and work within budgets
  • The ability to relate to staff at all levels , encourage and motivate people
  • Have a ‘spark’ about everything you do and be able to motivate and instil your passion in others
Summary of Position
We are looking for a professional, energetic, enthusiastic HR Training & Development Manager.
Responsible for consulting with other managers to identify training needs , drawing up an overall training plan, managing a training budget, producing materials for in-house training, working with training providers to develop suitable course content, evaluating the success of both individual training and the overall programmes, managing regular staff appraisals and reviews and making sure staff have opportunities for ongoing development,  and on occasion deliver some of the training yourself.
