Qualifications, competencies and experience for each position:
Hotel Manager
  • First degree in Hotel/Hospitality Management or its equivalent from a recognized institution.
  • Minimum 7 years of proven experience, three of which as Manager of a similar establishment.
  • Background in F & B management mandatory.
  • Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used by tourists and other guests who frequent the Kenyan Coast.
  • Experience in Computerized Hotel Systems Software (Fidelio F O, F & B and Sun Accounting) required.
  • Superior people skills necessary to manage motivate and lead a diverse team of young and mature employees to ensure delivery of quality guest service, profitability and growth to the company.
  • Have a hands-on approach and be committed to providing the highest standards of service in accommodation, food, beverage and other beach hotel activities.
Front Office Manager

  • Diploma in Hotel Management (Kenya Utalii College) or its equivalent from a recognized institution.
  • Minimum 5 years of proven experience, three of which as F O Manager of a similar establishment.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills combined with excellent presentation, persuasion and negotiation skills including background in hotel products pricing.
  • Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used by tourists and other guests who frequent the Kenyan Coast.
  • Experience in Computerized Hotel Systems Software (Fidelio F O and Sun Accounting) required .
  • Unquestionable integrity, team-oriented with a mature, outgoing personality and a hands-on approach.
  • Advanced skills for coaching, mentoring and motivating a diverse team of FO staff to deliver superior customer service.
Human Resource Manager (KSLH)
  • Reporting to the General Manager he/she wil provide HR strategic support to line management at core business units and at corporate level.
  • Will lead and oversee the HR team in developing and implementing HR strategies and initiatives aligned to Company Strategy.
  • As strategic partner and advisor to line management will ensure efficiency and effectiveness in delivery of innovative, value-adding HR programmes, processes and practices and help create a high-performance work culture in KSLH.
  • First Business related degree with a bias in HRM or its equivalent from a recognized institution.
  • Member in good standing of an HR practitioners professional body such as IHRM (K).
  • 7 years solid HR Generalist experience with at least 4 years at senior management level or as Head of HR.
  • Experience in the Hospitality industry advantageous.
  • Excellent knowledge of Kenyan labour laws and labour/union practices.
  • Fluency in English and Kiswahili.
  • Proficiency in MS office applications and e-HRM software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
IT Systems Administrator (KSLH)
  • Reporting to the Finance Manager he/she will be responsible for managing networked resources at KSLH core business units and at corporate level including Enterprise Database Server administration for 24/7 data availability of key systems to users.
  • First degree or HND in Information Technology or equivalent.
  • Professional qualifications such as Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MSCE) or CCNA advantageous.
  • Excellent practical knowledge of LAN/WAN operating systems and good understanding of hotel financial systems and software.
  • Accounting background an added advantage.
  • 5 years IT experience with at least 3 years in ICT hardware and software installation, maintenance and administration of networked resources & databases as Head of IT.
  • Experience in the Hospitality industry preferred.

KSLH will offer a competitive reward package reflecting an individual’s experience based on proven track record in hospitality and seniority of the position. Successful candidates will be on 3 years renewable contracts subject to performance contracting.
