CHF International seeks a Chief of Party with strong skills in
The Chief of Party will be responsible for overseeing the management of the program and having substantial authority for program-level decision-making for program activities.
Duties will include: Overall supervision of and responsibility for program implementation; budget execution; compliance with donor agreements; monitoring and evaluation; liaise with CHF HQ; staff oversight and supervision; technical direction to program staff; effective communication with the donor, host government and other stakeholders; and responsibility for security protocols.
Qualifications:
- Five or more years of experience managing multi-year development programs in at least one of the following areas: workforce development, job creation, livelihoods, local economic development; experience with youth enterprise, education and/or workforce development preferred.
- Substantial senior-level experience representing a USAID implementing partner.
- Masters degree, and/or Bachelor’s degree and commensurate experience in international development, economic development, education or other relevant field.
- Excellent diplomatic, communication and interpersonal skills; fluency in written and spoken English.
- Experience in Kenya or East Africa preferred.
- Ability to work with to donors, the host government and community stakeholders.
- Proven experience managing budgets and achieving work-plan deliverables.
