CHF International seeks a Chief of Party with strong skills in


managing complex, multi-partner, development programs, preferably Kenya for anticipated donor funded, youth development program.

The Chief of Party will be responsible for overseeing the management of the program and having substantial authority for program-level decision-making for program activities.

Duties will include: Overall supervision of and responsibility for program implementation; budget execution; compliance with donor agreements; monitoring and evaluation; liaise with CHF HQ; staff oversight and supervision; technical direction to program staff; effective communication with the donor, host government and other stakeholders; and responsibility for security protocols.

Qualifications:

  • Five or more years of experience managing multi-year development programs in at least one of the following areas: workforce development, job creation, livelihoods, local economic development; experience with youth enterprise, education and/or workforce development preferred.
  • Substantial senior-level experience representing a USAID implementing partner.
  • Masters degree, and/or Bachelor’s degree and commensurate experience in international development, economic development, education or other relevant field.
  • Excellent diplomatic, communication and interpersonal skills; fluency in written and spoken English.
  • Experience in Kenya or East Africa preferred.
  • Ability to work with to donors, the host government and community stakeholders.
  • Proven experience managing budgets and achieving work-plan deliverables.
