Our
client in a Tours and Travel company seeks to recruit a qualified individual to
work as credit control officer in their company
Credit Controller Duties & Responsibilities
- Evaluate and review credit requests.
- Manage and collect debts.
- Set up and explain credit terms to
clients.
- Negotiate payment plans and set terms and
conditions.
- Prepare, maintain, and collect reports,
statements, and other documentation.
- Establish and monitor a credit control
system in collaboration with executive team members.
- Ensure clients submit payments timely.
- Approve or decline credit applications.
- Conduct credit control system analysis
and implement changes as needed.
- Report payment issues to the upper
management.
- Respond to clients’ inquiries and
questions.
- Process and maintain invoices and
payments.
- Assist in general finance department
day-to-day activities.
- Liaise and collaborate with clients and
coworkers.
- Maintain accurate records of all chasing
activity, ensuring that all communication with customers is documented.
- Liaise with sales and customer service
departments to resolve disputes and queries that may affect the payment of
outstanding invoices.
- Regularly report to management on
outstanding issues, while highlighting potential debtor problems.
Qualifications:
- Looking for a credit controller, someone
who has a Finance degree with CPA k as an added advantage
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a
Credit Controller, Credit Analyst, or a similar role within the
Manufacturing industry
- Strong understanding of lending
procedures and laws governing credit and collections.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and
interpersonal skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to
detail.
- Strong organizational and time management
skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS
Office, especially Excel
