Duties and Responsibilities
An officer at this level will be responsible for:
- Drafting of legal documents and handling
cases involving the University in liaison with University external
lawyers;
- Advising the University on all legal
matters;
- Writing reports and memoranda; and
- Performing any other duties as may be
assigned from time to time.
Requirements for Direct Appointment
For
appointment to this position, a candidate must:
- Have Bachelor’s degree in law from a
recognized university;
- Have Post Graduate Diploma in Legal
Practice; and
- Be an advocate of the High Court of Kenya
with a current practicing certificate.
Requirements for Serving
Officers
For
appointment to this position, an officer must: –
- Have Bachelor’s degree in law from a
recognized university.
- Have at least three (3) years experience
as a Legal Assistant II Seale 7/8 or its equivalent; and
- Have shown merit and ability as reflected
in work performance.
