Principal Planning Officer

PURPOSE

The job holder will responsible for review the development of strategic plans, policies development, and research for the Board.

Key Responsibilities

Theduties and responsibilities of the officer will entail: –

  • Coordinating the review of the Strategic Plan;
  • Developing a framework on stakeholdersparticipation;
  • Conducting competitive analysis and identify gaps and opportunities in the market;
  • Identifying and implementing strategies, programmesand projects;
  • Conducting studies on matters relating tocompetition and consumer protection;
  • Constructing forecasts and analytical models;
  • Monitoring and analysing industry trends and marketchanges; and
  • Monitoring,evaluating and reporting on the implementation of programmes and projects.

Qualifications


For appointment to this grade, an officer must: –

  • Have at least six (6) years relevant work experience in public or private institution
  • Have Bachelors degree in any ofthe following disciplines: Engineering ,Economics,Statistics, or equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution;
  • Be registered with a professional body whereapplicable;
  • Have proficiency in Computer application Skills;
  • Have shown merit and ability as reflected in workperformance and results; and
  • Fulfilled the requirements of Chapter six of theConstitution.
