Vacancy: Director of Finance and Administration
 
 
Established in 1965, URC offers a range of technical assistance to strengthen health and social systems and service quality by empowering communities and health workers to identify and scale up locally appropriate solutions to critical problems.

URC focuses on finding ways to deliver proven approaches to health care problems, applying quality improvement (QI) methods and conducting operations research to tailor those approaches to various settings. 

Recognizing implementation barriers unique to each setting, we train local managers and service providers to strengthen health systems, integrate system elements, and bring improvements to scale.

Roles and Responsibilities
 
The Director of Finance will work with the COP to ensure efficient functioning of administrative and financial processes. 


S/he will be responsible for directing activities of the project support staff and ensuring sufficient assistance is given to the staff in the project offices. 

S/he will also collaborate with USAID to ensure regular communication, adequate understandings and timely responses to Mission requests, scheduling, and formatting. 

Minimum Qualifications
  • A post-graduate degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related field relevant to the position requirements.
  • At least eight years of experience in financial management for large complex projects, of which at least five years were working in the field of international development.
  • Prior experience working with USAID and other international donors and knowledge of USAID and Federal Government policies and procedures is preferred.
  • Past experience with public health program desirable, but not required.
  • Professional level of oral and written fluency in English language.
