Job Purpose
The Senior Supervision
Assistant (Registration & Licensing) is responsible for assisting in
evaluation of applications for registration of retirement benefits schemes and
licensing of service providers.
Job Requirements
- Diploma
in any of the following disciplines: finance, law, economics, commerce,
business administration, social security or its equivalent qualification
from a recognized institution;
- At
least four (4) years relevant work experience;
- Proficiency
in computer applications; and,
- Fulfill
the requirements of Chapter 6 of the Constitution.
Job Specifications
- Assisting
in evaluation of applications for registration of retirement benefits
schemes and licensing of service providers;
- Participating
in due diligence of service providers to assess their suitability;
- Compiling
lists of trustees for the purpose of vetting to determine their
- suitability;
- Assisting
in the review of applications by employers to contract out of making Tier
II contributions under the National Social Security Fund Act;
- Maintaining
and updating the register of retirement benefits schemes and service
providers.
- Assisting
in the implementation of guidelines on retirement benefits scheme
registration and service provider licensing; and
- Participating
in retirement benefits scheme annual general meetings and other forums
relating to the retirement benefits industry and preparing reports.
