We are looking for an Assistant to provide administrative support to the Heads of Production, to help ensure the smooth and efficient running of the Department.

The role comes under the BBC’s Production Management Assistant job category

Role Responsibility

The role provides highly professional diary management and administrative support for the Heads of Production, setting up multiple and complex meetings and preparing all relevant documents and presentations in advance; ensuring that their diaries, itineraries and travel are managed in a proactive and efficient manner. You will be the main point of contact, dealing effectively and confidentially with all requests. 

You will also be required to provide efficient administrative, secretarial and office management support including helping to prepare presentations, meeting agendas and taking minutes of confidential meetings.

You will have the confidence and ability to take responsibility for running and delivering projects or tasks, communicating progress, and corresponding with key stakeholders on behalf of the Heads of Production as required.

A highly proactive and forward thinking approach is needed, with great attention to detail, ensuring that all relevant information is kept up-to-date, correct and available.

The post holder will keep abreast of productions across the NHU and support them as and when required.

Qualifications

Are you the right candidate?

  • Significant experience of providing diary management and business support at Senior Management level, ideally in a complex and busy business environment.
  • Able to communicate confidently with senior managers, clients and stakeholders. You will be an effective team player, able to work collaboratively within a diverse team.
  • Experience of handling confidential information appropriately.
  • Interpersonal and communication skills sufficient to establish and maintain effective relations with a wide range of contacts.          
  • Experience of working in a pressurised and challenging environment whilst maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to use initiative to think and plan ahead.
