JOB TITLE: DEPUTY UNIVERSITY LIBRARIAN – GRADE 14: KarU/HR/DUL/2020
  Job Description
Work at this level entails liaising with the university librarian in planning and coordination of library services, marketing of library through publications of bulletin, manuals and guides, attending to official correspondence, career development and counseling, performance evaluation, training and professional development; budget preparation and harmonization; promotion of staff welfare and IGU activities; undertaking labour relations/public relations, responsible for staff development and capacity building, in addition will facilitate library services user education and any other duties as may be assigned by senior officer.
Qualifications
  • Doctorate degree in the relevant field from a recognized institution;
  • At least four (4) years relevant work experience;
  • Good knowledge of Information Communication Technology;
  • Membership registration to a relevant professional body;
  • Published at least two (2) relevant refereed publications;
  • Fulfilled the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya

JOB TITLE: SENIOR ACCOUNTANT– GRADE 13: KarU/HR/SACT/2020
 Job Description
Work at this level entails; organization and management of accounting units, directing, controlling and coordinating of both routine and non-routine accounting matters. Interpreting financial policies, budgetary control, management accounting and periodic financial returns, staff development and capacity building and any other duties as may be assigned by a senior officer.
Qualifications
  • Masters Degree in finance or accounting field from a recognized institution;
  • Be a Certified Public Accountant – CPA (K);
  • At least seven (7) years relevant work experience, three (3) of which must have been in a senior managerial position;
  • Membership registration with ICPAK or any other relevant professional body;
  • Knowledge of Information and Communication Technology;
  • Fulfilled the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya

JOB TITLE: SENIOR INTERNAL AUDITOR– GRADE 13:KarU/HR/SIA/2020
 Job Description
Work at this level entails formulation and implementation of policies, supervising all internal audit functions, report writing, quality assurance and standards, monitor and review audit work programs and techniques, supervision of staff, staff development and capacity building and any other duties as may be assigned by a senior officer.
Qualifications
  • Masters Degree in finance or accounting field from a recognized institution
  • Be a Certified Public Accountant – CPA (K);
  • At least seven (7) years relevant work experience, three (3) of which must have been in a senior audit position;
  • Membership registration with (ICPAK) or any other relevant professional body;
  • Knowledge of Information Communication Technology;

JOB TITLE: MEDICAL OFFICER– GRADE 12: KarU/HR/MO/2020
 Job Description
Work at this level entails provision of medical services to patients and clients in the institution health centre and make follow-up of cases of patients referred to the hospital. In addition, provides staff development and capacity building both formal and informal to other health personnel working under him/her and any other duties as may be assigned by a senior officer.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MB ChB) from a recognized institution;
  • Valid registration with Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board;
  • At least two (2) years relevant post internship work experience as a Medical practitioner with proven performance;
  • Evidence of continuing professional development;
  • Knowledge of Information Communication Technology;
  • Current practicing Certificate;

JOB TITLE: ACCOUNTANT II– GRADE 11: KarU/HR/ACCT/2020
 Job Description
Work at this level entails; maintaining accounts, monitoring expenditure and payments, supervising bank reconciliations, preparation of financial reports and statements, preparation of budget, financial analysis, implementation and enforcement of policies and regulations, ensure expenditure and payments are properly authorized, supervising staff and making periodic financial performance reports and any other duties as may be assigned by a senior officer.
Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in finance or accounting field and CPA III;
  • At least seven (7) years relevant work experience three (3) of which must be at the level of Assistant Accountant I or a comparable position;
  • Membership registration with ICPAK or any other relevant professional body;
  • Knowledge of Information Communication Technology;
  • Fulfilled the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya;

JOB TITLE: ASSISTANT GAMES TUTOR II– GRADE 10 KarU/HR/AGT/2020
Job Description
 Work at this level entails coaching various sports activities, taking charge of all sports equipment and facilities, officiating various games and sports activities, responsible for students going for external fixtures, popularizing sports and games activities among students, conducting specialized training, designing and implementing income generating units and any other duties as may be assigned by a senior officer.
Qualifications
  • Bachelors Degree in the relevant field from a recognized institution;
  • At least eleven (11) years relevant work experience;
  • Physical and mental fitness;
  • Good knowledge of Information Communications Technology;

JOB TITLE: DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR I– GRADE 8: KarU/HR/DBA/2020
Job Description
 Work at this level entails:
  • Administer the modules of the different departments in the ERP Microsoft Navision 2017 system
  • Customize, support and maintain Microsoft NAV applications on C/SIDE environment using C/AL programming and SQL 2016.
  • Sustaining database security and integrity of data by assigning rights and privileges of users.
  • Perform daily Backups and periodic recovery using SQL Server Management Studio 2016. This includes developing, managing and testing back-up and recovery plans for client and server
  • Software Installation and configuration of databases and test environments as well as documenting
  • Sustaining database security and integrity of data by creating users and assigning permissions based on the level of access on the database
  • Performance Monitoring and database tuning on the indexes and queries viii)Troubleshoot various problems that arise and fix the issues; Document major changes to the servers
  • Create and maintain SQL queries
  • User training and supervision of ICT applications related activities in various departments
  • Establishing the needs of users and monitoring user access and security and ensuring that they are addressed
  • Installing and Upgrade of new applications and customizing existing applications in order to make it fit for purpose, in liaison with the developers/
  • Facilitate Service Level Agreement (SLA) negotiations for external technology deliveries
  • Working with Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 and SQL Server 2012 Report Builder
  • 3.0 in designing the needed reports in the Development system and

Qualifications

JOB TITLE: DRIVER II (AMBULANCE DRIVER) – GRADE 4:KarU/HR/AMD/2020
Job Description
Work at this level entails operation of the ambulance and other vehicles , detection and reporting common faults, keeping the vehicles clean, carrying out minor repairs including oiling and greasing, maintenance of work ticket for vehicles as assigned, ensuring safety of the Ambulance or any assigned vehicle and any other duties as may be assigned by a senior officer.
Qualifications
  • Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) mean grade of at least D+ (plus) or its equivalent;
  • Valid driving license classes BCE free from any endorsement;
  • S.V license for bus and mini/bus (for bus and minibus drivers);
  • At least seven (7) years driving experience as an ambulance driver;
  • Certificate of Good conduct;
  • Occupational trade Test III;
  • Basic certificate on first Aid;
  • Computer literacy;
  • Occupational/Motor Vehicle Mechanic Trade Test II will be an added advantage;
  • Accident free record or if any the records show that they were not in any way attributable to the drivers negligence;
  • Fulfilled the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya
