DAI Europe is currently preparing for the forthcoming EU project “Regional facility for Business development and investment climate Eastern Africa, Southern Africa and Indian Ocean” which is expected to start in August 2020. DAI is a leading development company with an extensive experience in EU contracts and with offices in Brussels, London and Washington DC.
The aim of the Regional Technical Assistance Facility is to contribute to an improved business enabling environment and investment climate, as well as to develop national and regional value chains and increased investments, innovation, trade and sustainable production and consumption patterns.

The indicative result areas for the Technical Assistance are:
  •  Improved business enabling environment and investment climate.
  •  Upgraded value chains and increased investments, innovation, trade and sustainable production and consumption patterns.
  •  Improved SME access to finance from capital markets.
DAI is currently recruiting international and national development experts to support this initiative. We welcome applications for the positions of long and short-term experts with the following area of expertise:
  • SME and access to finance
General Qualifications:
  • Post-Graduate Degree
  • More than 12 years of professional experience
  • English proficiency, French as an asset
  • 10 years of experience in Investment Climate, Value Chain, Trade, SME, Access to Finance
  • Professional working experience in assisting, advising or implementing policy-based reforms and public administration.
  •  Experience in Eastern, Southern African and/or Indian Ocean countries on similar projects
  •  Experience with EU-funded projects.
  •  For Team Leader position: experience as Team Leader within the last five years of a project of this complexity within the region.
