Human Resource Manager, Welfare & Administration

Position Function: Reporting to the Head of Human Resource and Administration, the position is responsible for ensuring that the functions relating to Welfare, Administration and Staff Performance in the Bank are effectively and efficiently managed.
Key Responsibilities
·         Ensure effective implementation of decisions regarding appointments, transfers, promotions, leave and medical cover for employees.
·         Oversee the administration of staff benefits including medical, pensions, club memberships and employee advances as required.
·         Oversee the provision of welfare services to employees and ensure proper utilization of welfare facilities and services and participate in corporate social responsibility projects.
·         Responsible for supervision and provision of medical services at the staff clinic.
·         Ensure staff records are updated on a regular basis and their confidentiality assured.
·         Participate in the formulation and review of the Bank’s HR Policies, procedures and systems and ensure effective communication and implementation.
·         Develop and coordinate a performance management process that will ensure the organization’s goals and objectives are met and that employees’ performance is achieved at optimum levels.
·         Develop performance evaluation tools and ensure that the evaluation process is managed within the stipulated timelines.
·         Coordinate the administrative function and property management in the Institution.
·         Participate in the development of budgets, monitoring utilization and follow up on budget approvals.
·         Monitor the Bank’s service providers to ensure quality service provisions are adhered to.
·         Supervise, appraise, guide mentor and train staff while ensuring maximum staff productivity.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
·         Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences or Human Resources Management.
·         Higher Diploma in HRM or Diploma in Business Management.
·         Computer Literacy.
·         Senior Management courses & Seminars.
·         7 years satisfactory service and relevant work experience in HR & Administration or at least 3 years work experience as Assistant Manager handling HR function.


ICT Systems Auditor

Position Function: Reporting to the Head Internal Audit, the ICT Systems Auditor will be responsible for ensuring that there are adequate internal controls in the systems, adequate protection of data and maintenance of data integrity.
Key Responsibilities
·         Prepare and Execute the implementation of the Information Systems Audit plan to ensure that risks are clearly identified and propose adequate Control Measures.
·         Draw up audit programmes and procedures for the assignments.
·         Carry out Audits on operating procedures, Systems installations and services to determine the adequacy of logical controls, system maintenance, system security, Change controls, back-up and recovery procedures & Business Continuity Management.
·         Provide support for sophisticated data analysis and extraction through computer assisted audit techniques.
·         Supporting financial and/or operational audits on specific audit assignments involving advanced IT audit considerations.
·         Prepare timely and accurate draft reports, giving an independent opinion on audit findings and suggest recommendations and agree on the way forward with the management.
·         Follow up implementation of audit recommendations.
·         Perform special audits and investigations as may be required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
·         Bachelor’s degree in either Computer Science, Business Information Technology/Systems, or related technical field.
·         CISA or CISM or closely related certification.
·         CPA or CIA certification is an added advantage.
·         Knowledge/Experience of Banking and ERP systems.
·         Knowledge of common IT and networking technologies (operating systems, relational databases, network/mobile technologies) including Oracle database, Unix/Linux/Windows.
·         Knowledge of Information system governance and Security principles & practices with an understanding of Risk.
·         Working knowledge of Computer Assisted Audit Techniques will be an added advantage.
·         Excellent Data Analytical and communication skills.
·         5 years’ experience, 2 of which should be technical experience in audit of ICT systems in a sound corporate environment.


Senior Accountant (Projects)

Position Function: Reporting to the office of the Manager, Financial Accounting and Reporting, the position is accountable for monitoring the progress of projects, investigating variances between the reporting system and other Banks’s operating systems, coaching of finance staff, approval of payment vouchers, signing of cheques, online payments and checking of reconciliation schedules.
Key Responsibilities
·         Harmonize Transitorial Accounts, Cash Accounts and Bank Accounts.
·         Reconcile Depositors Liability of the Bank.
·         Provide and maintain transaction codes complete with correct General Ledger and Mapping when new transactions sets are introduced.
·         Provide technical and advisory information and reports on Branch Transaction processing.
·         Provide advisory support to other departments to ensure General Ledger Integrity for quality financial reporting.
·         Sensitize Finance Team on Systems changes.
·         Facilitate resolution of system related issues raised by Management Accountant to ensure timely production of Monthly Management Reports.
·         Respond to all Audit Queries on System Interface (both External and Internal).
·         Carry out preparedness in compliance with prudential guidelines and the Banking Act from a Finance perspective.
·         Provide linkage between Finance Department and other departments in the Bank on project related issues.
·         Approve vouchers and check reconciliation schedules.
·         Supervise, appraise, guide mentor and train staff in the department while ensuring maximum staff productivity.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
·         A bachelor’s degree in business related field.
·         Certified Public Accountant (CPA (K).
·         At least five years of experience in accounting with one year at managerial level.
·         IT Proficiency.


Senior Accountant (Agency Settlement)

Position Function: Reporting to the office of the Manager, Treasury and Investments, the position is accountable for providing timely and accurate reconciliation reports, management of settlements on money transfer services, mobile phone service providers, sub-agents and managing of credit card accounts.
The position is responsible for ensuring that the Bank optimizes on commissions and fees earned from the services.
Key Responsibilities
·         Ensure settlements of money transfers, mobile phone service providers, sub-agents and visa card merchants are made on timely basis.
·         Coordinate agency activities, i.e. settlements, responding to queries, routine checks with the service providers as per the Service level agreements (SLA.)
·         Prepare commission payable to sub-agents as per the signed contract and due dates.
·         Establish that all transactions from the Bank Agents are accounted for in the General Ledger and commissions are received on due dates.
·         Respond to queries raised by both internal and external auditors on agency settlement.
·         Provide leadership and direction on innovation and process re-engineering for optimal operations.
·         Approve journal entries and authorize payments within approved limits and as provided for by Management.
·         Reconcile Bank accounts as per the laid down procedures.
·         Supervise, appraise, guide mentor and train staff in the unit while ensuring maximum staff productivity.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

·         A bachelor’s degree in business related field.
·         Certified Public Accountant (CPA (K).
·         At least five years of experience in accounting with one year at managerial level.

Accountant

Position Function: Reporting to the office of the Manager, Finance & Accounts, the position is responsible for facilitating timely and accurate reconciliation of various accounts.
To ensure effective and efficient accounting of all financial matters in the bank and to facilitate production of accurate, timely, complete and reliable periodic financial reports.
Key Responsibilities
·         To ensure prompt reconciliations of cash, bank and control and General Ledger accounts.
·         Produce reconciliation statements and schedules for audit and management purposes.
·         Monitor Cash, Bank and related control accounts to ensure optimal use of cash.
·         Prepare reconciliation schedules and ensure that no excess funds are held in the branches.
·         Maintain controls to ensure the institutions assets are safeguarded.
·         Capture Bank charges, payment vouchers and application of cheques.
·         Respond to audit queries emanating from the assigned duties.
·         Check and approve payment vouchers as per set approval limits.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
·         A bachelor’s degree in business related field.
·         Certified Public Accountant (CPA (K), ACCA.
·         At least three years of experience in accounting.

Applications Developer and Support Officer

Position Function: Reporting to the Assistant Manager / ICT Business Systems and Alternate Channels, the position will be responsible for developing software and applications that are compatible with mobile phones and other desktop applications.
Key Responsibilities
·         Design, build, test, implement, and support mobile and desktop applications.
·         Ensure that the applications are running optimally.
·         Communicate regularly with System administrators, Database administrators and operational staff to ensure database integrity and security.
·         Maintain the Bank’s Desktop/Website/ Web Based/Mobile based applications.
·         Participate in design and coding of application-embedded, scheduled and ad-hoc reporting solutions.
·         Analyse and optimize performance of Web, Client and mobile based applications.
·         Collaborate with DBA and Systems Administrators to create and maintain a robust framework to support mobile applications.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
·         B.SC in Computer science or an equivalent degree course.
·         Development of Oracle applications, using PL/SQL.
·         DBA skills using MSQL and Oracle RDMBS.
·         Qualification and proficiency in programming languages like HTML5, C, C++, iOS, Java, Objective-C, etc. is the main qualification.
·         Basic knowledge of interface design and development will be an added advantage.
·         Development on Android environment.
·         Web service technologies, specifically REST APIs, Service oriented designs and technologies (AJAX, XML/JSON).
·         Proficient in the use of MS Office applications, such as Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
·         Two years in a busy ICT environment.


Systems Administrator and Support Officer

Position Function: Reporting to the Assistant Manager/ICT Infrastructure and Support, the position will be responsible for ensuring effective and efficient System Administration of Application Systems, provision of efficient and effective ICT support services, and implementation of security controls for ICT applications.
Key Responsibilities
·         Perform System Application Administration duties.
·         Backup and restore systems as per backup and restore policy.
·         Management of Veritas backup application and data library.
·         Maintain systems users and the access rights, and review of User roles to conform to business requirements.
·         Management of card printing solution.
·         Documentation of the System Applications.
·         Ensure appropriate security and access controls to the data centre are implemented and maintained.
·         Carry out System Performance tuning to ensure optimum performance.
·         Troubleshoot and test computer systems software and hardware.
·         Carry out software installation and maintenance to ensure relevant applications are running effectively.
·         Resolve ICT equipment malfunction and ensure effective utility of the equipment by users.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
·         A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a closely related field from a reputable institution with at least 2 years’ experience in Systems Administration.
·         UNIX/Linux Administration and User skills.
·         Knowledge in Oracle PL/SQL or any RDBMS will have an added advantage.
·         Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve arising problems.
·         Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
·         Ability and willingness to work at odd hours.


User Support Officer / Business Applications

Position Function: Reporting to the Manager / ICT Infrastructure and Support the position will be responsible for administration of enterprise servers, management of computer hardware, installations and repairs.
Key Responsibilities
·         Monitor systems’ alerts and reports on servers.
·         Management of Oracle VM Manager, VMware VSphere, and SAN storage.
·         Management of Server virtualization for scalability, high availability and easier network management.
·         Management and Administration of Domain Policies, Security and Administration of Active directory and Mail system.
·         Handle diagnosis, Configuration and deployment of Servers, client PCs.
·         Provide hardware specifications for servers, computers and printer hardware.
·         Train employees on Desktop software applications including the banking software.
·         First level support through speedy diagnosis, troubleshooting and resolving of server and client issues.
·         Receive, inspect and test equipment’s for repairs to and from repair.
·         Deployment and maintenance of the corporate Antivirus engine.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
·         Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Electronics Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
·         Professional qualification on MCSE, MCP, A+ or related fields.
·         Training on Virtualisation environment using VMware or / and Oracle VM.
·         At least three years’ experience in a busy similar environment.
·         Working in a virtualised environment will be an added advantage.
Terms of Service and Remuneration
The appointments will be for a contractual period of three years, renewable for a similar period of time subject to satisfactory performance and delivery of set performance targets and outcomes.
