The Muslim Education &
Welfare Association (MEWA) is a not-for-profit organization (NGO) based in
Mombasa, Kenya. MEWA is currently implementing three (3) key programs of
Healthcare and Medical Services; Harm Reduction; and Community Service.
Each program has several
projects that are currently being implemented.
1.0 Hospital Administrator
The Administrator will
provide management lead to the Healthcare and Medical Services institution;
while ensuring its objective are met in relation to Finance, personnel &
training, organization. Sales & marketing, Operations and development
through proper communications.
Qualifications and Experience
- A Bachelors
degree in Healthcare Management or a degree in medical field as a minimum
qualification.
- Minimum five
years of experience as the head of a Healthcare Institution; preferably in
a community based institution
- Ability to lead
a team of multi disciplinary professionals
- Knowledge of
government legislation, policies and accounting practices as related to a
Private Hospital.
Personal Attributes
- Must have
excellent communication and interpersonal skills, self-motivated,
willingness to take risks,
- high level of
integrity with excellent analytical skills coupled with prudent decision
ability with excellent leadership skills and must be a team player
- High level of
diplomacy and negotiation skills
2.0 Nurse

The nurse will evaluate and
Implements Standards of Nursing Care during shift; responsible for High Quality
Patients Care & to actively Promote Multi Disciplinary Working Team
Qualifications and experience
- Diploma in
Kenya Registered Community Health Nurse (KRCHNJ from a recognized medical
college with registration and licensed by the Nursing Council of Kenya
- Specialized
training will be an added advantage i.e. midwifery, critical care, per-
operative & pediatric with at least one year post internship
experience in a busy hospital

3.0 Medical Officer (MO)

The MO will be monitoring and
providing general care to patients in the hospital wards, outpatient clinics
& admitting patients requiring special care followed by investigations and
treatment.
Qualifications and experience
- Medical Degree
- Two years’ post
- internship experience

Must have excellent
communication and interpersonal skills, self-motivated; willingness to take
risks, high level of integrity.
