HR and Admin Officer Job in Kenya

Exciting Career Opportunity at a Leading Restaurant
Our client, a prestigious chain of African restaurants that is recognized both locally and internationally seeks to recruit a talented, creative and result-oriented professional to fill the following position:
Human Resource and Admin Officer
Key responsibilities and duties are:

·         Coordinate the recruitment and placement of new staff as required and conduct staff orientation
·         Develop and coordinate staff duty rotas and ensure optimum staffing levels for daily operations including leave planning and management.
·         Identify training needs of staff both on an individual basis as well as company focused training programs
·         Develop the coordinate and conduct employee performance appraisals.
·         Review, analyse updating and recommend revisions of policies and procedures in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements.
·         Ensure all staff are compliant with employment guidelines at the restaurant.
·         Maintain all the required HR documentation for the organization and ensure it is up to date
·         Prepare and process the restaurants monthly payroll
·         Coordinate and manage all the Restaurant’s administrative duties
·         Coordination and negotiation with suppliers for their products / services, quotes and delivery.
·         Maintaining accurate administrative records and preparation of admin reports as required.
·         Schedule and coordinate the Restaurant’s meetings
·         Any other duties and responsibilities that pertain to the position as assigned by management.
Experience and Competencies
·         Ability to manage human resources effectively and respond to staff needs
·         Excellent written and spoken communication
·         Ability to successfully lead a team to achieve individual and team goals
·         Excellent persuasion and negotiation skills
·         Professionalism – Commitment to meet required standard of performance excellence
·         At least three years work experience in a similar role in a busing environment
Qualifications
·         University Degree in Human Resources, Business Management, Administration or other relevant degree
·         Diploma in Human Resource Management
·         Proficient in Computer applications
