Project Coordinator Job in Kenya

Plan International Kenya

Vacancy: Project Coordinator, Afya Pwani (Nutrition), Kilifi

Plan International is an independent development and humanitarian organisation that advances children’s rights and equality for girls.

We believe in the power and potential of every child. But this is often suppressed by poverty, violence, exclusion and discrimination. And it’s girls who are most affected.

Working together with children, young people, our supporters and partners, we strive for a just world, tackling the root causes of the challenges facing girls and all vulnerable children. We support children’s rights from birth until they reach adulthood.

And we enable children to prepare for – and respond to – crises and adversity.

We drive changes in practice and policy at local, national and global levels using our reach, experience and knowledge.

We have been building powerful partnerships for children for over 75 years, and are now active in more than 70 countries.

Reporting to the Project Manager – Afya Pwani, the Project Coordinator is primarily responsible for the implementation of the project ensuring successful initiation, planning, design, execution, and monitoring in a gender responsive way, taking into consideration the dynamics of working with the youth, key populations and men champions to increase health seeking behavior in men.

The Project Coordinator will ensure delivery and impact of Nutrition outputs and outcomes in the Afya Pwani Project.

He /she will ensure active engagement and involvement of relevant stakeholders and communities in project activities and oversee all aspects of Nutrition component implementation, and monitoring in project target locations.

The Project Coordinator will identify and assess the practices to be addressed and whom to engage and develop appropriate strategies to promote good nutrition practices.
