Title: Underwriting Executive

Overall
Responsibility: The
position is responsible for assessing risks in accordance with laid down
underwriting procedures in the company and ensure effective and efficient
service delivery to customers
- Review
all applications for insurance – determine the profiles of risks presented
to the branch / company for insurance and assess their acceptability or
otherwise.
- Review
all reports from various service providers relating to proposals for insurance.
- Review
proposals for insurance and adjust benefits where necessary by reviewing
previous files, worksheets, etc.
- Ensure
all related activities to underwriting are properly coordinated and
enforced
- Participate
in sales initiatives.
- Ensure
timely preparation and dispatch of policy documents.
- Review
of suspense items and follow up on outstanding requirements with a view to
reconciling them in record time.
- Timely
processing of quotations and tender documents, credits and refunds.
- Liaising
with intermediaries for business support
- Any
other duties assigned by management in line with task.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s
Degree from a recognized university
- 2
years minimum work experience preferably in insurance industry
- Progress
in ACII/AIIK preferable
Competencies

Job
Title:Relationship Officer – Intermediaries
Division
/ Department:Business Development & Marketing

Manager – Business Development
Overall
Responsibility: The
position is responsible for effectively managing key branch account (direct
& indirect / intermediary accounts) as assigned.
This
will entail sourcing new accounts as well as growing and maintaining business
relations with dormant accounts through continuous one on one interactions,
ensuring upselling and cross selling KOIL products, vetting quality of
business, gathering market intelligence / competitor activity and managing feedback
& expectations.
Key
Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities
- To
give competitive quotations and ensure follow up is done to close the
business.
- To
oversee timely issuance of relevant documents to the intermediaries.
- To
facilitate timely collections of premiums as per Company’s credit policy.
- To
make regular visits in order to maintain relationships with the
intermediaries.
- To
offer advice on claims procedures.
- To
solicit for business from intermediaries and maintaining a fairly balanced
portfolio mix.
- To
give support to intermediaries including carrying out risk surveys,
reviewing performance and loss ratios.
- To
ensure proper dissemination of product knowledge to the intermediaries and
direct customers.
- To
continuously gather market intelligence in order to identify specific
needs of prospects and customers.
- To
hold renewal discussions to ensure adequacy of cover and minimize lapses.
- To

- Design

and coordinating regular sales drives in the markets including product
activations and direct clients interactions to enhance & achieve sales
targets
- Member
of the product development committee charged with coming up with unique,
innovative and cost effective sales ideas to improve the companies
offering in personal lines products.

structured regular reports on market intelligence, team performance and
analysis of key action items that need attention and following up to
ensure timely implementation / remedial measures are taken

Requirements

System Administrator (SA) is responsible for effective provisioning,

- Develop
and manage an efficient I.I department, consistent and appropriate with

a blue print of I.T infrastructure requirements to meet the organizations

and maintain I.T vendor and service provider relationships efficiently and
ensure effective SLA’s enforcement.

all I.T hardware, software and consumables to ensure flawless synergy of
resources within the organization
- Ensure
adequate security and safeguard of data base and applications against
hackers and viruses

and recommend innovative, and where possible automated approaches for
system administration tasks
- Perform
daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all
hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system
and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as
backups

and configure system software that supports the business applications per
project or operational needs
- Assist
project teams with technical issues in the Initiation and Planning phases

- Open
and acknowledge new claims
- Appoint
service providers within the set benchmarks, review their reports and
process claims as necessary.
- Initiate
recovery from negligent third parties and promptly hand file to Legal
Section for follow ups.
- Ensure
payment to policyholders and service providers within stipulated company
benchmarks.
- Maintain
registers and adequate claims reserves.
- Respond
to correspondence and/or queries relating to claims falling under area of responsibility.
- Make
recommendations on settlements of claims falling under area of
responsibility.
- Prepare
claims reports e.g. monthly theft report, monthly salvage report and any
other reports which may be required from time to time.
