Our client would like to fill the position of a Store Manager who will be reporting to the Operations Manager.
Job
Purpose / Summary: The
role assists in managing sale, customer service, staff, operational and
merchandising functions of the store to attain maximum profitability,
productivity, and a world class guest experience.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure
the store security, cleanliness and tidiness.
- Ensure
the crew members attendance register is dully signed and updated.
- Inspect
the dress code, grooming and hygiene of the crew.
- Check
on the closing stock for previous day against the day’s opening stock.
- Compile
and communicate daily action plan to the crew member explaining on the
monthly and annual targets.
- Check
on the stock levels, authorise storekeeper to issue stock and ensure
section crew members acknowledge receipt.
- Ensure
previous day’s orders to major suppliers has been placed, written and
signed for in the order book.
- Ensure
orders for the next day are captured, signed off and updated in the
management report.
- Ensure
the products delivered correspond to items ordered, compare the price and
invoice and check on the quality/quantity, freshness of the products
before receiving.
- Check
deliveries form various suppliers.
- Conduct
pre-shift meeting with the management.
- Check
on the correct usage of cleaning materials.
- Check
on the electricity meter and record the meter readings.
- Ensure
the store operates within the allocated budget.
- Ensure
the levels of gas, water and generator fuel is sufficient.
- Inspect
customer seating area for cleanliness, tidiness and quality service.
- Manage
the shift and ensure the shift changes run smoothly.
- Undertake
end month stock take/count.
- Conduct
feedback meetings with crew members.
- Check
the actual turnover against the set budget as per the predetermined
targets.
- Prepare
weekly report for; sales & sales mix, menu items sold, percentage
contribution to weekly total turnover, strategy for the following week and
problems that affect operations and the solutions.
Minimum Requirements
- A
Bachelor’s degree purchasing supplies or relevant field.
- Proven
work experience in a similar role managing fresh and edible produce for
retail.
- Proven
store management experience highly desired.
- A
minimum of 3 years of retail sales experience with familiarity with rental
and retail POS system
Competencies
- Strong
verbal, written, presentation and effective listening skills.
- Possess
the desire to offer the highest customer service standards to guests
- Must
be a team player and be able to handle fast paced stressful environment.
- Ability
to communicate frequently with co-workers and guests in accurate spoken
and written English
- Excellent
communications skills both written and verbal
- Self-motivated
with the ability to multi-task
