Accounting Manager Job Vacancy (200K)

Our client, a well established Rwandese Restaurant, Baking and Catering Business, is looking for an Accounting Manager

He will be responsible for all areas relating to financial reporting, managing accounting and budgets and forecast for both teams (Kenya and Rwanda). 

The ideal candidate will be based in Rwanda, Kigali and MUST have experience in the hospitality industry. 

Key Responsibilities;

  • Prepare, examine or analyse accounting records, financial statements or other financial reports.
  • Ensure the timely reporting of all financial information; monthly, quarterly and year end close.
  • Supervise accounting teams based in different countries.
  • Prepare the consolidated accounts at Group level.
  • Ensure a clean and timely year-end audit.
  • Review taxes owed and tax returns and ensure compliance.
  • Develop, maintain, and analyse budgets.
  • Prepare periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs.
  • Scheduling expenditures, analysing variances, initiating corrective actions.
  • Monitoring revenue and expenses.
  • Ensure the accurate and timely processing of pay transactions.
  • Analyze business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations, to provide advice.
  • Monitor and analyze department work to develop more efficient procedures.
  • Assist in development and implementation of new procedures and features.
  • Respond to inquiries from the CFO, Internal Auditor, and other managers regarding financial results.
  • Must have an advanced Degree in Accounting or Management & Business Administration.
  • CPA K or ACCA required
  • Must have 3-5 years of overall combined accounting and finance experience
  • Must have supervisory experience in the financial reporting/general ledger area.
  • Experience working in a professional services firm is preferred.
  • Must be PC proficient and able to thrive in a fast-pace setting.
  • Must have experience with QuickBooks or other large automated accounting system a plus.
  • Must have strong experience with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and supervisory skills required.
  • Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines required.

Monthly gross salary: Ksh. 200,000/= (Approx. 2,000 USD)
