A leading Finance Institution is seeking
to recruit highly competent persons to fill the following positions within the
organization and its Branches
Records Manager
Reporting in to the Head of Operations, the Records Manager will be responsible for the effective and appropriate management of the Institution’s records from their creation through to their eventual disposal.
Reporting in to the Head of Operations, the Records Manager will be responsible for the effective and appropriate management of the Institution’s records from their creation through to their eventual disposal.
The Records Manager will provide access within the institution to accurate records for a range of operational purposes while ensuring the preservation of records archives for the future.
The successful candidate will also
ensure that legal obligations are met for the creation and retention of both
paper and electronic records.
This includes controlling the number
of records created and stored, and identifying which records are to be
preserved for legal purposes and which can be destroyed.
Key deliverables of the job include:
Customer Service
- Ensuring that members are handled in a
professional, efficient and effective manner and that information is
provided to all members and staff in a timely and correct manner.
People Management
- Ensure that the right people are in the right
positions in order to reduce workload, overtime and staff turnover.
- Effectively plan and conduct formal and on the
job trainings to ensure that sufficient expertise is available to ensure
work performance, sufficient knowledge of staff and their duties to
conduct effective performance evaluations in accordance the with
institutions guidelines.
Records Management
- Overseeing the management of electronic and/or
paper-based information in the institution by:
- Ensuring that the storing, arranging, indexing
and classifying records is well done;
- Facilitating the development of filing
systems, and maintaining these to meet administrative, legal and financial
requirements;
- Devising and ensuring the implementation of
retention and disposal schedules;
- Advising staff in other departments on the
management of their records and information.
Archives Management
- Ensure the correct archiving of documents and
files to comply with relevant legislation and regulations.
Academic and Professional
Qualifications:
- A Degree in Record Management or Library and
Information Sciences or related field.
Work Experience:
- At least 5 years working experience in a
financial institution; of which at least two must be at management level.
FOSA Manager
Reporting in to the Head of Operations, the FOSA Managers will be responsible for the overall performance and routine running of the FOSAs as set by the Institution.

The successful candidates will be
results orientated persons with a passion for customer service.
The candidates will have excellent
knowledge of FOSA / Banking policies, procedures and services, credit
principles, sales and administration.
Key deliverables of
the job include:
Customer Service
- Ensuring that members are handled in a
professional, efficient and effective manner and that information is
provided to all members and visitors in a timely and correct manner.
Business Development
- Proactive recruitment of new members and
aggressive marketing of the Institution’s products to new/existing members
to meet business targets.
People Management
- Ensure that the right people are placed in the
right positions in order to reduce workload, overtime and staff
turnover.
- Effectively plan and conduct formal and on the
job trainings to ensure that sufficient expertise is available to ensure
work performance, sufficient knowledge of staff and their duties to
conduct effective performance evaluations in accordance with the institutions
guidelines.
Credit Administration
- Effective administrative management of the
loan facilities in compliance with the Institution’s loan policy and
procedures.
Administration Support
- Provide efficient management of the frontline
service areas and the back office areas, to provide excellent customer
service through the direct frontline, ensure proper cash control in the
Teller and Cash Asset areas and ensure proper indirect support at the
administration areas.
Security Management
- Effective and efficient administration and
management of the branch in compliance with the Institution’s rules and
regulations to minimise risk to the organisation.
Academic and Professional
Qualifications:
- A Degree in Accounting / Business Management /
Cooperative Management / Banking or related field.
- CPA (K), ACCA or ACA will be an added
advantage.
Work Experience:
- At least 5 years working experience in a
financial institution or SACCO; of which at least two must be at
management level.
Head of Operations
Reporting in to the Chief Executive
Officer, the Head of Operations is responsible for the Institutions Front
Office Services Activities and Back Office Service Activities.
With a network of 5 branches, the
Head of Operations is responsible for ensuring delivery of excellent services
to all members through these branches.
The successful candidate will be a results orientated person with proven banking or FOSA experience.
The candidate will have excellent knowledge of FOSA / Banking policies, procedures and services, credit principles, sales and administration as well as excellent people management skills.
Key deliverables of
the job include:
People Management
- Ensure that the right people are placed ¡n the
right positions in order to ensure efficient and effective business
operations.
- Ensure development of all team members through
performance feedback, recommending training where appropriate and coach
and mentor individuals for growth.
Credit Management
- Develop, formulate, recommend and coordinate
the omplementation of policies, guidelines, procedures for Credit
Management in the Organization.
- Monitor and evaluate the credit performance of
the organisation and make appropriate recommendations to the CEO.
- Overall management of the organisations varied
credit facilities in compliance with the Institution’s loan policies and
procedures.
- Ensure compliance with the organisations
credit policies and procedures.
Branch / FOSA Operations
- Develop, formulate, recommend and coordinate
policies, guidelines, procedures for Branch operations to ensure efficient
and economic operations are delivered to the customers.
Records Management
- Through the Records Manager, ensure that the
Members records are maintained in accordance with the organisation’s
records policies and procedures and national legislation.
Customer Service
- Ensure that all members receive excellent
customer service at all Institution outlets.
Academic and Professional
Qualifications:
- A Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business
Administration, Cooperative Management, Banking or related field.
- An MBA in Finance, Business Administration,
Accounting, Cooperative Management or related field or CPA (K), ACCA or
ACA.
Work Experience: At least 10 years working experience in a
financial institution; of which at least five must be at management level.
