Scholarships for Academic Year 2014
A. Areas of Study
- Sustainable Economic Development
- Agricultural Development Supported by Human Resource Development.
- Renewable Energy (including Geothermal Development).
B. Eligibility (Postgraduate Only)
The applicants should be those who:
- Are serving the country in the Public Sector
- Have completed two (2) years of continuous public service since their last degree studies.
- Graduated with a Bachelor’s degree of at least second class honours upper Division for Masters and a good Masters degree for PhD.
- Are below 35 years for Masters and 45 years for PhD
Application Procedure
All
eligible candidates must read and follow the following guidelines strictly.
1. Apply
using preliminary application forms from the Ministry of Education, Science and
Technology offices at Teleposta Towers, 27th floor room 2702. The application
forms can also be downloaded from the Ministry’s website

(scholarship form) .

Completed application forms with attached certified photocopies of academic/professional
certificates, transcripts, National Identity card, birth certificate, other
testimonials and proposal in the area of study should be sent to:

4. The
preliminary application forms should reach the Ministry not later than 12th
May, 2014.
5. Only
shortlisted applicants (who shall be informed through e-mail/phone call) shall
be invited for interview.
NB:
Preference for the award of these scholarships will be given to teaching staff
in our public universities and university constituent colleges. Teaching staff
in these institutions are encouraged to apply.
