VMMC - Training
Opportunities
Its
principle mandate is to design, implement and evaluate HIV/AIDS research and
intervention programs that improve the health status of individuals and local
communities.
We are
looking for interested service providers of the following cadre to build their
capacity on Voluntary Medical Male Circumcision (VMMC) service provision;
Male Circumcision
Providers (MCPs)
Required Qualifications:
- Medical officers (Bachelor’s of Medicine and Surgery (MBChB).
- Clinical Officers (Degree/ Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Surgery).
- Nursing Officers (Degree/ Diploma in community Health Nurses).
- Registered by relevant professional bodies (MPDB, COC, Nursing council).
- Has a valid current practicing license.
- Currently not trained on VMMC service provision.
VMMC Counselors
Required Qualifications:
- Form IV certificate.
- Lay Counselors.
- Basic Training on HIV Testing and Counseling (HTC) from a NASCOP recognized institution.
Infection Prevention
Officers (IPOs)
Required Qualifications:
Form IV
certificate, with KCSE at least C-
The
training supported by PEPFAR/CDC through IRDO will take place between February
2014 and September 2014.
The
training will run for 10 working days, residential, both theory and observed
practice sessions before certification.
Interested
applicants are required to submit their applications, complete with CV, copies
of certificates and testimonials to the address below; to reach the undersigned
not later than 10th February 2014.
In your

planning.
Other
details of the training will be communicated ONLY to successful applicants.
Current
employees of Ministry of Health are NOT eligible to apply since they will
benefit from the training through their respective SCHMTs.
