Essential KRAs the role holder needs to deliver?

Availability of trucks on time for local FG and RM/PM deliveries

Improve reliability of trucks and other vehicles

Track spend on fuel & maintenance of trucks and other vehicles and identify improvement
opportunities
 

Set-up a process for timely & effective vehicle maintenance

Drive cost savings in collaboration with third party transporters
 
Track and improve third party transporter reliability

Critical capability factors this person must have to be successful? (Leading Self & Leading Others)

Leading Self - Good knowledge of vehicle maintenance. Also the incumbent should be highly motivated to work in a challenging environment(should be easily adaptable to the business environment)

Leading Others- The incumbent should be collaborative, as his day-to-day working will cut across functions(Marketing, Sales and Stores)
 
Leading Business - Very high on self-motivation; given that hair business is prone to frequent market shifts, the incumbent should be highly flexible and adaptable in his working style

Challenges this person will face in this role?
  • Poor reliability of vehicle maintenance (leading to increased expenses on vehicle maintenance)
  • Meeting (and exceeding) the expectations across functions
  • Need for humility when dealing with issues concerning other functions
Education Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelors in Engineering or Masters in Engineering/other discipline
  • Prior experience in Logistics/Transportation in Kenya, a "MUST HAVE"
  • 6-8 Years of experience in the relevant field
