Our client is an influential youth agency in East Africa which develops fully-integrated youth brands, marketing campaigns and educational program for the youth and family markets, and specializes in Marketing Road shows and Activations. 

The client seeks to recruit for the position of Key Sales Account Manager with strong account management and relationship building skills.

Job Purpose: The Key Sales Account Manager is responsible for managing key clients accounts, maintaining a long term relationship with accounts and maximizing sales opportunities within them.

Required Qualifications & Competencies;
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business related field.
  • A post graduate Diploma in Sales and Marketing is an added advantage.
  • Knowledge of below the line marketing – road shows, market storms, school activations, etc.
  • Knowledge of activations specifically – field force which entails; in store or retail work; have managed teams of brand promoters and sourced them.  
  • Good verbal and oral communication skill
  • Proficient in computer applications.
  • Previous experience in Account Management or Territory Sales
  • Excellent negotiation techniques and presentation skills.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develops and implements strategic sales plans to meet or exceed assigned goals
  • Represents company at trade shows, road shows and account meetings as a complete brand ambassador and product expert
  • Prepares market analyses to determine customer needs and opportunities for additional growth
  • Assist in the development and implementation of marketing plans
  • Communicates effectively, both  internally and externally, using appropriate tools and technology in order to provide timely and accurate reporting of information
  • Prepares and presents thoughtful sales and business proposals for activation and reports on the same.
  • Analyzes sales statistics in order to maximize sales productivity for assigned accounts and provide accurate and timely forecasts to the company
  • Understands retail metrics and leverages a thorough understanding of the marketplace to drive growth
  • Monitors and evaluates the competition and provides forward looking product and strategic recommendations to the company
