Kenya School of Government (KSG) is established to provide
Learning and Development programmes which would help in building capacity for
the Public Service.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Carry
out day to day business activities of the HR function,
- Implement
annual Human Resources plan in line with KSG strategic plan,
- Performance
contracting targets and ISO 9001:2008,
- Carry
out benefit and compensation administration and compliance
- Carry
out employee/labour relations, employee health, pension benefits and
recruitment,
- Develop,
in liaison with management, retention as well as training and development
policies,
- In
liaison with management, plan, direct and facilitate activities to
partake, develop, motivate and retain the highest quality workforce at the
optimum cost,
- Proactively,
address internal and external forces the will impact the effectiveness and
efficiency of our employees and formulate strategies and actions as
appropriate responses,
- Ensure
regulatory compliance regarding areas of responsibility which may include
appointments, assignments, reassignments, transfers, deployments,
promotions, discharges, separations and retirements,
- Foster
an environment that mirrors the School employee philosophy and create the
best work environment.
Qualifications
- Master’s
degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field,
- Higher
National Diploma in Human Resource Management,
- Five
years’ experience in a busy Human Resources function,
- Member
of the Institute of Human Resource Management,
- Knowledge
of Human Resources best practice,
- Excellent
interpersonal skills,
- Must
be a team player,
- In
depth knowledge of and insight into government of Kenya code of
regulations
