Warehouse Operations Manager, Inventory Control Manager and Customer Care Officers Jobs in Kenya

Mission for Essential Drugs and Supplies (MEDS) is a registered trust of the Kenya Episcopal Conference (KEC) and Christian Health Association of Kenya (CHAK) with the mandate to provide reliable, quality and affordable essential drugs, medical supplies, training and other pharmaceutical services.

The organization seeks to fill in the following vacant positions:-

Job title: 
Warehouse Operations Manager

Job Purpose: Warehousing and processing client orders

Job reports to: Head of Operations

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain appropriate procedures for effective and efficient warehousing and order processing.
  • Manage effective and efficient receiving of stock into the warehouse for accountability.
  • Provide relevant and up to date drug information to staff and clients as necessary.
  • Ensure efficient performance management of the warehousing function to achieve operational objectives and targets.
  • Prepare management reports to facilitate decision making.
Job Requirements:
  • Level of Education: Degree in Pharmacy
  • Professional/Additional Qualifications: Post graduate training in Business related field
  • Experience: 5 years hands-on experience in a busy pharmaceutical or medical supply chain, 3 years of which should be in managerial position
  • Job Skills/Behavioral Attributes: Good organizational skills, leadership, communication and interpersonal relationships. Well versed in commonly used computer packages
Job Title: Inventory Control Manager

Job Purpose: Commodity Inventory Management

Job reports to: Head of Operations

Key Responsibilities:
  • Forecasting and quantification of commodities to ensure optimal stock levels at all times and minimal loss due to wastage or out of stock.
  • Carry out continuous monitoring of stock levels to ensure optimal stocking is maintained and reconciliations done to ensure integrity of stock holding at all times.
  • Organize accurate and efficient annual stock taking as well as monitoring of expiries and damages and taking action to minimize stock losses.
  • Participate in the evaluation of commodities offered for tender to ensure quality, cost effective and reliable supply.
  • Prepare management reports to facilitate decision making.
Job Requirements:
  • Level of Education: Degree in Pharmacy. Holders of diploma in Pharmacy with more than 8 years experience will be considered
  • Professional/Additional Qualifications: Post graduate training in business related field especially Supply Management
  • Experience: 5 years hands-on experience in a busy pharmaceutical or medical supply Chain, 3 of which in a managerial position in stock management
  • Job Skills/Behavioral Attributes: Competency in relevant major computer packages, good interpersonal relationships and good analytical skills
Job Title: Customer Care Officer 

2 Positions

Job Purpose: 
Maintain front office operations and client support services

Job reports to: Customer Services Manager

Key responsibilities:
  • Prepare and send out quotations/pro-forma invoices to clients in a timely manner.
  • Receive and act on customer requests promptly giving them feedback for fast decision making.
  • Capture and share customer feedback with relevant sections to ensure efficient and effective customer service delivery.
  • Coordinate the processing of export documents to ensure timely dispatch of export consignments.
  • Provide prompt information and reports to facilitate Management decision making.
Job requirements:
  • Level of Education: Diploma in Pharmacy
  • Professional/Additional qualifications: Those with a Degree in Social Science or b usinessrelated field will have an added advantage
  • Experience: 3 years in a busy pharmaceutical store or supply chain organization
  • Job skills/Behavioral attributes: Good oral and written communication skills; analytical and organizational skills; developed interpersonal relationships; competency in relevant major computer packages; positive customer care attitude and a team player
