We are looking for a strong finance individual for our client who is a dominant player in the ICT sector.
The job description is as below.
Position: Senior Accountant
Company: ICT and Telecommunications Sector
Job Description
· Prepare Monthly Management accounts and analysis on P&L /Cash flow statement on both legal entity and project level accounts
· Rolling forecast preparation on sales revenues, collections, other profit and loss items and cash flow elements.
· Monthly Cost & Expense analysis as per annual cost saving scheme
· Working closely with a Shared Service Center to ensure the generation of the monthly accounts is on a timely and accurate manner. The shared service center sits outside Kenya and is part of the group.
· Ensure full tax compliance in line with the ICT industry and also ensure that CIT computations are done accurately and timeously.
· Handling annual statutory audit issues with the auditors and keep close communication on every material change to the business, processes and policies
· Dealing with tax consultant on adhoc advisory issues
· Ensuring compliance with all KRA requirements and liaising with the audit section closely to make sure all the company’s policies conform to the relevant tax laws.
Skills Requirement
· Bachelors Degree
· ACCA or CPA qualified
· MBA would be an added advantage but is not a prerequisite
· Working knowledge in the ICT field is an added advantage.
· Strong inter‐personal and communication skill, especially across various departments
· Business analysis skills with sound experience in finance and Business control
· Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, specifically proficient in developing various management reports through analytical modeling in Excel
· Familiar with ERP usage (SAP/Oracle)
· In depth knowledge on concepts, procedures and tools used in controlling and accounting
· Good communication and presentation skills
· Excellent knowledge of budgeting, controlling and planning processes in a global environment
· Proactive Individual
