The Regional Programme Support Unit acts as the catalyst in promoting programme quality and one programme approach by bringing together regional thematic advisers, regional-level programme and funding units.
The role

This is a strategic regional leadership role, leading on the integration of Oxfam's one programme approach, programme quality initiatives, and effective application and monitoring of programme information systems by providing adequate specialist support and facilitating coordination among various country programmes and the regional centre of expertise.

In collaboration with the regional leadership team you will set the direction to improve the quality of Oxfam's programmes in the HECA Region including high-level and strategic management issues, such as Joint Strategic Planning, Funding Strategy & Plans, and other initiatives of corporate, regional and national significance.

You will facilitate programme learning, manage the Regional Programme Support team; and contribute to the overall regional leadership and representation of Oxfam in the Region
The Person

You will have senior management experience with excellent people, finance and donor management skills.

You will have strategic leadership skills, relevant understanding of the development context in Africa and concrete experience in innovative development approaches and change models.

You will have in-depth conceptual understanding, strong analytical and planning skills and a true passion for enhancing programme impact and learning.

You understand funding and media needs, humanitarian and campaigns work and you are a strong results-oriented professional with extensive programme management experience.

You will have the required networking and influencing skills to bring a diverse range of stakeholders on board to achieve common aims.
