We are looking for a dynamic individual who will be
based in our head office in Nairobi reporting to the Group Chief Executive.It is a subsidiary of Pan Africa Insurance Holdings Limited which is listed on the Nairobi Stock Exchange and is part of the Sanlam Group, a leader in financial services listed on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange with the largest insurance footprint in Africa.
We are looking for a dynamic individual who will be
The successful candidate will be part of the Executive Management team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Ensuring that the Group adheres to the labour laws and the wider Group’s HR policies
- Co-ordinating the manpower of the Group in accordance with the requirements of the Group’s long-term strategic plans
- Formulating and applying the Group’s terms and conditions of service and the HR policies and procedures
- Developing the Group’s long-term retention and succession plans
- Establishing and implementing appropriate HR systems
- Preparing board papers and leading the discussions in the Group’s HR committee meetings
- Recruiting, orienting, developing and training staff as well as assisting with the recruitment, development and retention of field agents
- Administering staff and agents remuneration
Skills, Knowledge and Competencies
- A postgraduate degree or equivalent in Human resources or business
- Minimum of 5 years relevant experience as Human Resources Manager in a similarly sized organisation
- Strong interpersonal skills and a team player
- Executive level presentation and communication skills
- Candidates with specialised training in employee benefits, organisation planning & development and employee relations will have an added advantage
Strong preference will be given to Kenyan citizens with the requisite qualifications, skills and experience.
