Marketing Manager Job in Kenya

The Marketing Manager is responsible to the Headteacher.

Responsibilities:

  • Look at the school branding, ensuring consistency of use, letterheads, font, and colors.
  • Standardise all presentations and literature
  • Evaluate communications, consistent standards
  • Support Crisis Management Teams in managing sensitive communications and assist in monitoring and managing community reactions.
  • Serve as guardian of the brand to build and enhance the brand in order to affect word-of-mouth and enrollment.
  • Ensure the use of consistent design and messaging using the brand guidelines

  • Develop extensions of the brand to enhance and add stature to the brand imagery in a way that aligns with the school story and messaging.
  • Work with all official school logos including the corporate logo, the classic buffalo, and Blazer logo and serve as the final approval when these brand elements are requested for use by others in the school.
  • Look at key messaging, strap lines and incorporate school mission and values
  • Implement an annual strategic marketing plan and process
  • Consult with school administration as needed to ensure the implementation of defined marketing strategies.
  • Develop web marketing strategies, objectives and implementation that can be directly tied to outcomes in Admissions.
  • Have an understanding of the Google suite of products and how to use them to enable campaign and brand tracking.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with publications to pursue PR opportunities and showcase major Kenton events and activities.
  • Identify and negotiate contracts with key local and international publications in alignment with annual strategic marketing plan.
  • Input on advertisements in the branding platform and using strategic ad campaign.
  • Ensure integrated marketing communications school wide, including but not limited to:
    • Communicate Kenton goals and strategies to all departments school-wide.
    • Communicate to the community through a variety of vehicles using communications protocol when it applies, including newsletters, Friday Focus, collateral pieces, etc.
    • Manage facility marketing including facelifts as needed to support Admissions tours or messaging as needed.
    • Manage Social media, Corporate Relations and Alumni initiatives in partnership with key stakeholders.
    • Engage and coordinate the staff of Kenton in marketing strategies and their role in it.
  • Work with the team on all personnel related materials and actions.
  • Manage Marketing budget.
  • Ensure the development of all creative communication projects in line with brand image and messaging, school goals, and allocated budget.
  • Integral to communicating strategic plans and school development plans and projects
  • Public website content management: Recruitment materials, news content, manage visual communication, photograph events, photo and video management & archiving
  • Gifts and promotional items
  • Organize, manage and support school-wide Kenton events. Including but not limited to:
    • Dedications and anniversaries
    • Head of School events
    • Sporting events
    • Sponsorship for all large scale school events (Bonfire Party, Charity Fundraisers, Sports Festivals, Concerts etc)
    • Kenton Parents in Partnership
    • Kenton Parents Association
    • Admissions events
    • External speakers
    • Events through Kentons association connections such as IAPS, KAIS, as needed
    • Other events that have the opportunity to impact, positively or negatively, the Kenton brand because of attendees from other schools, regions, or countries
    • Annual Speech Day
    • Submit editorial, photos, etc. to Kenton publications.
  • Collaborate with all departments especially Sport, Art, Music and Drama in the school to serve their needs as identified.
  • Campaign Planning, execution, and reporting to the Headteacher
  • Social media content creation, strategy and reporting
  • Help the admin team at busy times of the year
  • Undertake some receptionist duties such as answering the telephone and passing on information / queries to relevant departments.
