Basic job summary:
To be
responsible for providing an environment for student career development,
coordinating the activities of the Office, and preparing students for the work
environment.
Duties
& Responsibilities:
Provide
management with accurate, timely, and complete reports on Career Development
Services’ events, Strathmore’s employability rate, and annual student/alumni
job placement to facilitate decision making.
Conduct
surveys, analyse and prepare reports for process improvement as part of the
core duties in ensuring effective operations.
Conduct
employer development visits on existing and prospective employers to improve
employability and facilitate formal and non-formal agreements with employer
partners.
Plan for
graduate recruitments, invite industry experts for career talks, and provide
recruitment support to companies during employment of Strathmore University
students.
Facilitate
networking opportunities for students and alumni with industry representatives
to inform the students on their career opportunities.
Coordinate
the Annual career fair, school specific mini career fairs, HR roundtables, and
other career related events to communicate information on the organizations’
recruitment processes and create a rapport with employers;
Monitor
operations in Career Development Services and create new procedures to aid in
efficiency as the need arises
Minimum
Academic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s
Degree in any business-related field from a recognized institution
Certificate
In Counseling will be an added advantage.
Experience:
At least
3 years’ experience in Administration or HR with knowledge in training and
development
