Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day accounting activities,
including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries,
and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial
statements, reports, and budgets for management review.
- Monitor and analyze financial data to
identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with accounting
principles, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in the preparation of tax filings
and liaise with external auditors as needed.
- Support the development and
implementation of internal controls to safeguard company assets and
mitigate financial risks.
- Provide financial analysis and
recommendations to management to support strategic decision-making.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams
to streamline processes and improve operational efficiency.
- Stay updated with changes in accounting
standards and industry best practices.
Requirements Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance,
or related field.
- Professional accounting qualification
such as CPA (K) or ACCA.
- Must have at least 2 years of experience
in accounting or finance roles, in the insurance industry.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS
Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Strong understanding of financial
principles, reporting standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent analytical skills with
attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and interpersonal
abilities.
- Ability to work independently and
collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
