The
position
As a
Program Coordinator at Lightup Impact, you’ll be responsible for managing and
coordinating various programs within our organization, including
community-building activities, networking events, and capacity-building
programs (e.g., our Skills Development and Innovation for Impact Program and
Impact Badge). You’ll collaborate with team members and our partners and
stakeholders to plan and ensure the successful implementation and execution of
these programs. You’ll also play a vital role in facilitating meaningful
engagement with stakeholders.
Your Profile
Bachelor’s
or Masters degree in a relevant field such as International Development, Social
Sciences, Community Development, Gender Studies, or a related discipline.
At least
1-2 years of proven experience working in program coordination, project
management, or related roles, preferably within the nonprofit sector or
community development context is highly desirable.
Strong
organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to effectively
manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and priorities.
Excellent
communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work
collaboratively with diverse stakeholders and build positive relationships.
Available
to travel up to 5 days/month (3-4 times a year) to lead workshops, meet
stakeholders, attend networking events, or document visits with NGOs in Kenya
and Uganda.
Proficiency
in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Google Suite, and other
relevant software applications.
Experience
in working https://www.facebook.com/groups/2040008082884909/ with a remote team
and with digital program/project management software (e.g., Asana) is an
advantage
Experience
with capacity building programs for CSOs and NGOs is an advantage
