Responsibilities
- Transcribe in-depth interviews
verbatim and in the language of the interview.
- Translate all text in interviews
to Englis if necessary.
- Work closely with the study
personnel who will be available to guide your work.
- Submit completed transcripts as
soon as they are ready (and not necessarily at the end of the contract
period)
- Present the transcripts neatly
typed in the format provided by the PI.
- Upon review, make necessary
corrections and edits to the satisfaction of the PI.
- Take notes during the interviews
and dissemination meetings, as necessary.
- To perform duties as allocated by
the supervisor.
Requirements
- Form 4 level education, Minimum
KCSE C- or equivalent.
- Basic computer literacy,
specifically in Microsoft Word
- Good written and verbal skills in
English and Kiswahili
- Experience in data collection for
research studies or other programs.
- Experience in data entry.
- Experience in translation and
transcription.
