Program Support Services (SPSS)
International
Business and Technical Consultants Inc. (IBTCI) is seeking the following
personnel
1.
Security and Operations Manager
A
Somali-speaking Kenyan national to support the Somalia Program Support Services
(SPSS) activity in providing security and operations support.
Must
have a degree in Business Administration, Security or a related field: minimum
3 years’ experience working with Operations and Administration Offices:
experience of gathering security and providing on-going graded security advice:
experience providing logistical support to teams, a proactive team player, a
sell-starter: good knowledge of Somali social, cultural, political and economic
contexts; basic IT skills and knowledge of electronic security systems: and
experience of writing and following policies & procedures, and writing
reports,
2. Data
and Administration Officer:
A
Kenyan national, based in Nairobi, will ensure timely and accurate data entry
and extraction, development of outputs tables using SPSS software, and
scripting of survey tools onto ASKIA mobile platform.
Must
be conversant with USAID data quality standards, and able to maintain organized
data trackers / dashboards.
Must
have strong English verbal and writing skills: minimum of three years’
development experience in data entry and extraction using mobile platforms,
scripting Skills preferred: ability to maintain data back-up systems, and to
apply data quality controls.
3. Report
Writers:
Part-tine
bank of report writers able to develop standardized reports in English and
adhering to USAID style guidelines.
This
contract is task-based and intermittent assignments will be provided through
the year.
Must
have strong English verbal and writing skills: minimum of three years’
experience in reviewing data from Excel output tables and developing reports
using SPSS standardized report formats and style guides: must be able to work
under pressure with minimal turnaround times
4.
Scripters:
Part-time
bank of scripters able to review English version of pencil and paper instruments
(PAPI) for syntax, logic, skip patterns etc., and convert into Computer
Assistant Personnel Interview (CAPI) format for uploading onto ASKIA mobile
platform: and respond to any system testing errors.
This
contract is task-based and intermittent assignments will be provided through
the year.
Must
have three years’ experience in mobile data collection technologies, and
experience with scripting quantitative survey instruments into formats for
loading onto Android phones: pays strong attention to detail of logic controls
within the instrument, skip patterns and syntax of the instruments; and
demonstrated experience in various mobile data collection platforms.
