Background: Our client is a leading publishing and marketing company based in Nairobi producing vibrant, top-end publications that provide information and interesting read on Travel, Accommodation, Restaurants, Entertainment, Shopping and Lifestyle for the East African region. 

The company is also actively involved in a variety of activities including events, exhibitions and promotions that complement its publications and has won several awards including the International Quality Crown Award in the Gold Category for outstanding commitment to quality and excellence.

Our client seeks to hire competent and experienced Customer Care Agents who will add value to its operations.

Job Summary: Provide rich experiences to customers by connecting them with the company’s partners in the tourism and conferencing sector, thus facilitating repeat visits by customers and marketing of the company through client referrals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Determine customer requirements accurately and precisely and channel them appropriately to the company’s partners (hotels, restaurants and conferencing facilities)
  • Answer customer inquiries by clarifying desired information; researching, locating, and providing information to customers to enable them make an informed decision
  • Resolve customer issues and concerns by clarifying issues; researching and exploring alternative solutions; implementing solutions and escalating unresolved problems
  • Sell additional company services by recognizing new opportunities and explaining new product/service features
  • Maintain key client database by entering and updating information
  • Enhance the company’s reputation by honouring new and different requests from clients and thus provide more opportunities for the firm to grow its revenue streams
  • Explore opportunities to add value to clients and enrich their experiences
Key Qualifications and Experience
  • At least two years relevant experience. 
  • Experience in a call centre environment will be an added advantage
  • Training in customer service
  • Diploma in Communications/Marketing/Public Relations
