activities, including recruitment, labor outsourcing, payroll management, and

Role Purpose:
The
overall purpose of this role is to manage all the aspects of the employment
process and relationship by engaging the right people, continuously developing
their skills, continuously engaging the employees and ensuring proper
performance through proper performance management structure.
Key duties and responsibilities
- Employee staff: Management of the
recruitment and on-boarding of all new employees, employee documentation
process and ensure that they are properly guided on the various human
resources policies
- Training & Development: Ensure that
there is continuous development and training of the staff based on the
business needs, employee requirements and the training needs analyses
conducted
- In charge of the Nellions Academy and
responsible for transforming it to a TVET.
- Manage the grievance handling process of
the company amongst the staff members
- Ensure that all disciplinary process
follow the due process and that compliance is maintained as far as legal
obligations are met.
- Monitor the daily attendance of the
employees and take remedial action against persistent lateness or
absenteeism
- Manage the separation process of
employees and ensure that they are all done legally and in a compliant
manner
- Promote through action, policies and
routines the Nellions culture that embodies the values of Privacy,
Reliability & Care (PRC).
- Continuously implement the various human
resources policies, update the policies depending on the changing legal
and business environment and ensure that ensure that the same is
communicated to the employees from time to time.
- Monitor the performance of various staff
by scheduling one on one performance sessions with the team and their
heads of departments as well as conducting the formal appraisals
- Advising the management from time to time
of the legal implications of their actions, the changing legislations
involving employees and employment and all compliance matters as they may
arise.
- Manage the process of leave
administration in liaison with the various departments to ensure that all
the staff get the rest they need
- Ensure that all HR documents are updated
and filed accordingly
- Develop and implement various rewards
schemes for top performers and handle the performance improvement
initiatives for low performers
- Plan and manage employee team building
sessions and activities that are aimed at building team cohesion
- Perform any other duties as may be
assigned to you by persons placed in authority over you
Qualifications .
- A degree in human resources management
from a recognized institution
- A CHRP is an added advantage
- Minimum three (3) years’ experience in
human resources
- Excellent understanding of employment
legislations
- Ability to balance between compassion
(listening with the heart) and policy interpretation
- Firm, decisive and always fair.
- Friendly, approachable & welcoming.
- Ability to manage about 50 employees some
of who are semi-skilled
- Ability to maintain high levels of
confidentiality
- Conflict resolutions skills
- An early riser
