Assistant Manager, Provider Relations & Wellness, Job in Kenya

Key Responsibilities

Develop and coordinate the wellness program for all our clients including regular e-shots, health talks and wellness check up

Develop a chronic disease management program for all the major chronic diseases that will assist clients in management of their benefit for best outcomes

Prepare a drug formulary that is cost effective and ensure quality outcomes for our clients

Negotiate with providers and come up with different panels to take care of different products including wellness panel, low cost panel e.t.c

Negotiate for discounts and prices with all service providers in the panel with an inclination towards value based reimbursement model

Onboarding and accreditation of new service providers to ensure adequacy of the panel

Conduct regular Provider audits as per internal guidelines

Contracting of all service providers and ensure they are all compliant as per the internal policies

Relationship and partnership building with all our providers

Any other role that might be assigned

Skills and Competencies Required


Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Ability to work independently and build effective interpersonal relations

Bias towards innovation and development of new ideas in problem solving

Professionalism in dealing with both internal and external stakeholders

Extensive networking with service providers and other medical insurers

Excellent analytical and monitoring skills

Integrity and honesty

Ability to multitask and handle pressure 

Academic and Professional Qualifications required

Bachelor’s Degree in any Medical related field

 Health Insurance certification will be an added advantage 

Work Experience

Minimum 3 years working experience in a busy Health facility post internship.

Previous Health insurance experience is an added advantage
