Position Summary
Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Procurement and Supply
Chain Officer is responsible for accurately maintaining the records of all
purchases and managing the inventories of the purchased goods and services in
the organization. They ensure and manage all updated procurement contracts,
coordinate and monitor the supply chain
function to ensure compliance with procurement policies and practices.We are
seeking a committed and dedicated individual with high integrity to join the
institutional procurement team
Accountabilities
- Managing
inventories and maintaining accurate purchase and pricing records.
- Maintaining and
updating supplier information such as qualifications, delivery times,
product ranges, etc.
- Preparing the
purchase orders, receiving, storing, issuing the goods, managing the stock
levels and giving out the supplies from the stock.
- Maintaining good
supplier relations
- Following and
enforcing the company’s procurement policies and procedures.
- Manage the
timely and efficient distribution of supplies to the appropriate
departments
- Ensuring safe
custody of all procurement’s records
- Opening of
quotations and evaluation of tenders and quotation
- Verifying
invoices and other documents that facilitate payment to suppliers
- Maintaining
procurement activities register, tender and quotation registers
- Preparing a list
of items for the procurement planning
- Coordinate
listing and disposal of assets
Type
& Amount Of Experience:
- Bachelors degree
in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a
related field.
- Minimum of 3
years of proven experience as a Procurement and Supply Officer or in a
similar role.
- Member of the
Kenya Institute of Supply Chain Management (KISM)
- Capable of
working in a deadline-driven environment.
- Good
communication skills.
- Technical

using procurement management systems
