Job Description
- Responsible for maximizing the hotel’s
meeting and events revenue.
- Pro-active (MICE) Sales to deliver New
Business. This includes, but is not limited to, prospecting calls to
agencies/companies; show rounds at the Hotels, hosting fam trips, account
managing, attend brand workshops/agent visits.
- Re-active (MICE) sales to deliver new
business. Respond positively to inbound enquiries in a timely, accurate
and persuasive manner. Maximize all opportunities through negotiation and
upselling techniques, to convert business and drive revenue into the hotels
to reach budget target. Ensure all customer enquiries and bookings are
recorded, maintaining account files and records. Undertake enquiries,
manage follow ups, organize supplier documentation, hands on communication
with clients’ requirements throughout process, invoicing, secure deposits
and full payments, posting and charging, PMS bookings (Opera), obtaining
rooming lists, timings, and the flow of stays, create the function sheet,
post event and real meetings and events.
- Responsible for bookings, generating
proposals, generating contracts, filling enquiries and follow up process
with all MICE customers.
- Maintains active business relationships
with existing customer database and ensures new & repeat business to
support revenue goals.
- Assists in the preparation of annual
revenue budget including group business, room revenues, food &
beverage revenues, banquets, restaurants and other MICE related revenue
streams.
- Contributes to sales and pricing strategy
in order to balance yield and volume in conjunction with the responsible
revenue manager.
- Analyzes and assists in the preparation
of monthly reports including utilization report in a timely manner.
- Responsible for monitoring Sales Accounts
performance against revenue targets and implement measures to correct
underperforming areas.
- Handles incoming Meetings, Exhibition and
Events leads generated.
Qualifications
- Degree /Diploma in hospitality management
or Hotel management
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar
role in a 5 star hotel.
- Experience in Opera Sales and Catering
module
- A proven track record and ability to
provide high levels of service even under pressure.
- Exceptional communication and customer
service skills, both written and spoken.
- An understanding and willingness to
contribute to a 24h operational schedule when required.
- A good understanding of revenue
management and guidelines to maximise event profit.
- Market knowledge of competitors and event
industry trends.
- Strong food and beverage knowledge.
