Job Purpose
The position is
responsible for supporting in Planning, Monitoring and Evaluating projects and
programmes of the commission to ensure that quality data is generated,
reporting and dissemination is done timely and accurately.
Key Responsibilities
Monitoring
Progress: Track and assess performance progress towards the achievement of
Strategic Plan objectives, outputs, and activities.
Capacity
Building: Provide support in capacity building related to Planning, Monitoring,
and Evaluation (PM&E) to empower our team with the necessary skills and
knowledge.
Data
Collection and Compilation: Collect and compile data on performance indicators and
targets for analysis, report writing, and tracking purposes.
Progress
Reporting: Assist in preparing periodic progress reports for human rights
projects and programs to communicate achievements and challenges effectively.
Policy
Implementation: Support the implementation of Monitoring & Evaluation
policies, strategies, programs, and guidelines to ensure adherence and
alignment with our organizational goals.
Programmatic
Reflection and Learning: Facilitate intra-program reflection and learning
sessions, fostering knowledge exchange and improvement across different
programmatic departments.
Technical
Assistance: Provide Planning, Monitoring & Evaluation support and technical
assistance to program staff as needed, ensuring
they have the guidance required to meet their objectives effectively.
Data
Compilation: Assist program staff in compiling monthly, quarterly, annual, and
ad hoc program data and reports, contributing to our comprehensive and
data-driven approach.
Key Qualifications,
Skills and Competencies
Bachelor’s
degree in any of the following fields: Economics, Statistics, Commerce,
Business Management/Administration, Project Planning and Management, Social
Sciences, Actuarial Science or equivalent qualification from a recognized
institution.
One
(1) year solid experience in Planning, Monitoring & Evaluation especially
related to human rights issues.
Strong
attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and integrity.
Excellent
communication skills, both written and verbal.
Passion
for human rights and a commitment to the organization’s mission.
Meet
the requirement of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya.
