Mobile Solutions for Neonatal Health and Maternal Support (Mobile WACh NEO)
Mobile WACh NEO, an mHealth
trial studying the effect of mobile phone interactive SMS dialogue on neonatal
health, essential newborn care, care seeking, and maternal mental health is
seeking Research Scientist.
Objective of this Position
- Manuscript and abstract writing for an RCT study of mothers
and infants.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Draft research paper, manuscript or abstract or abstracts
- Conduct literature reviews
- Assist in fact checking a variety of health information and
publication materials
- Prepare reports and power point presentation slides
- Submit periodic writing progress to the Study (PI) or
co-Investigators
- Ensure strict compliance with ethical requirements for
conduct of research, privacy and confidentiality of study data
- Attend regular meetings with the study PI and/or
co-Investigators writing progress and activities
- Ensure graphs, charts, and tables for uniformity of style and
size, making sure data are displayed clearly and correctly
- Ensure references are listed and ordered correctly and formatted
to AMA journal style
- Proofread for grammar, spelling, and punctuation,
establishing compliance with editorial standards for correctness,
consistency, and completeness
- Ensure appropriate formatting-fonts and font sizes against
specifications; checks consistency of spacing, text alignment, line, and
word break
- Any other related duties as assigned by the supervisor
Essential requirements:
- Licensed Medical Doctor
- Interest in maternal, child and neonatal health.
- Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision and as a
member of a collaborative team.
- Strong analytic, written, organizational and verbal
communication skills
- Excellent communication skills: Must be able to communicate
regularly with the research team via email and zoom both the local and
international based ones.
- Respectful, punctual, hardworking, conscientious with
attention to detail and good work ethic.
- Have an up to date certificate in human subjects training and
good clinical practice.
